The very capable Nordhavn 50 ‘Amity’ is for sale. She was first commissioned in 2005 and spent the first couple of years cruising around the Channel Isles and the south coast of England and lately she has cruised the Mediterranean and is currently lying in Sardinia.

She is a ‘wide body’ and has six berths, ideal for a couple or a family.  She is in excellent condition and has been well maintained but is being sold due to time constraints of the current owners!  Viewing of Amity is highly recommended.

Amity is a lovely example of a Nordhavn 50, she is the first 50 built to full European CE certification 220 – 240 volt 50 Hz standards.
The Nordhavn 50 represents the best of both worlds, designed for serious blue water cruising but equally at home coastal cruising. Amity has been equipped to do both. She was commissioned in early 2005 and has been well maintained by the present and the second owner. She is extremely capable and safe boat, ideal of a family or a couple.

Amity offers great accommodation and is currently owned by a couple of two, with a new home in Sardinia. Amity is a “wide body” version, giving a tremendous amount of interior room; the saloon is well-planned and extremely light for comfortable living. The saloon is also fitted with teak blinds and entertainment systems.

The galley would complete with a well-fitted domestic kitchen in a large house! The Galley area is divided from the saloon by a counter, but is still very much part of this area of the boat allowing for a very social environment.

The tree-cabin layout offers versatile and flexible sleeping arrangements with the forward twin bunk cabins sharing the forward well-arranged head. The master cabin is located amidships with the head on the starboard side with access either from the saloon / galley or from the separate stairs that lead to the forward cabin from the pilothouse. The galley and heads have stunning black granite counter tops. The galley also has a dishwasher and located in the pilothouse a washer and separate dryer to give full live aboard luxuries. The upholstery has been upgraded to Ultra leather.

Amity is fitted with Cruiseair Air Conditioning system with reverse cycle and heat strips for heat operation.

Amity is a 24 – 12 volt boat and has a 220-240 volt 50 Hz electrical system. All equipment and machinery has been professionally maintained and serviced in line with manufacturers recommended intervals.

Amity is powered by a Lugger 6108 main engine with 24V start, and a Lugger 40hp L844D wing engine with Vdrive, 24V start and Martec prop. The boat is equipped with a fuel transfer system and a duplex filter for the main engine, and an oil change system for the main, wing and generator.

Other engine room extras include 16KW Northern Lights Generator set with extra Acoustic enclosure by the present owner, American Bow Thruster Stabilizer system with 7.5 Sq Foot fin blades, American Bow Thruster 10 hp bow and stern thruster with control levers in Pilothouse and Flybridge, a lightening ground system, and Spurs line cutters on main shaft.

New in 2009 installs a Village Marine Watermaker – SPW 600
High water bilge alarm and high capacity high water bilge pump includes Rule 3700GPH pump with Ultra senior pump and Ultra alarm panel.
New in 2011 are 8 x service batteries – Mastervolt AGM a´270 A.

The hull is light grey with a white deck and grey contrasting non-skid. Access is excellent from transom and starboard boarding doors. The cockpit is a good size with side access along the starboard side leading forward to the Portuguese bridge and up to the upper deck and flybridge. All the bulwark and upper deck guardrails are high, which gives tremendous feeling of safety and security.

Amity also has a hinging bow platform as a special request from the first owner, so she fits into a berth of exactly 15.25 m / 50`.

Deck gear includes a 24v Maxwell VWC 3500 windlass with controls in pilothouse, flybridge and foredeck. With 400 ft of 3/8“ high test chain, second hawse pipe for second anchor rode.

Extras to the standard deck specification include; Swim platform with swim ladder,  Beamer Spotlight with dual station control, locking slide bolt to hold down lazerette hatch, 600KG polished stainless steel davit (Cran).  Amity’s tender, a Zodiac Yachtline RIB 310 and Yamaha 15 hp outboard is new in 2008 is included in the sale.( approx. 30 hours)

There is plenty of storage for fenders, lines and other accessories, located in the cockpit, foredeck and flybridge. All fenders, lines and other accessories are included as part of Amity’s inventory.
