A unique opportunity has arisen to purchase a complete set of CE/RCD approved moulds, templates, drawings and assistance from the designer for a professional company to develop the project further. The North Sea 127 was designed and built for ocean cruising and can be easily managed by a crew of two, three boats have been professionally completed so far and have proven very capable. Thanks to the traditional lines and heavily laid up full fibreglass construction they are one of very few all fibreglass boats of this style and type. A new yard is now needed to move the project forward and market commercially, either on a two order or production basis, pricing of this package can be tailored to suit, from no initial investments with royalties to the designer to a higher one off purchase. Interested parties should make contact to discuss and all serious proposals will be considered.

The layout can be altered to provide various different configurations and potential options can be discussed with the designer. A layout for a forward heads version is attached, it would also be possible to have a forward cabin and a heads in the mid cabin shown on the drawing amongst other possibilities.

The North Sea 127 was first built in 1987 by Tamarisk Yachts to a design by David Cannell. GRP hull, deck and superstructure with 4.5 tonnes internal ballast of lead and lead shot encapsulated in resin in long keel. RCD category A rated with full conformity paperwork available. Although the North Sea 127 has been available to buy for a number of years they have never been mass produced or intensively marketed as the yard concentrated more on the smaller Tamarisk yachts they were well known for. The last was built approximately eight years ago and the moulds have been stored since making this an attractive proposition for a new yard keen to manufacture a high quality traditionally styled yacht that could be marketed at an achievable price for true ocean capable sailing. Apart from the split hull mould, deck mould and drawings there are also various templates included and the designer is keen to help a new yard develop the design further. A significant bonus is that CE and Recreational Craft Directive Conformity paperwork has been completed and a Category A rating awarded, all relevant paperwork and the required owners manual are included.

A new builder is now sought to move the project forward with the designers full assistance, this can either be on a small scale sold to order basis or a more ambitious production rate. As one of the only traditional long keel GRP yacht designs with CE approval available this is a unique opportunity for the right person!
