The OUT ISLAND 38 2004™ EXPRESS FISHERMAN is simply in a class by itself. From the Carolina flare to classic tumblehome and rounded transom, her lines scream custom. In an age where most boats appear œcookie cutter and very similar, the OUT ISLAND is sure to turn heads.

Best yet, her beauty is not just skin deep. Inside you will be welcomed by a warm, hand finished maple interior. Fine appointments such as œCorian counter tops, a cedar lined hanging locker, designer fabrics, and other amenities to numerous to list here, also await you. Every door, drawer and molding is handcrafted at our facilities by a team of skilled artisans who on average, have over a quarter century of experience each in plying their trade.

Beneath the hydraulically lifted helm deck, a well thought out engine room is ready for your inspection. Most equipment is located on the forward bulkhead to provide easy access and for ease of clean up, all fiberglass surfaces have been sanded smooth, gel coated, and then painted with œAwl-Grip. As for sound deadening this boat is equipped with,œSoundown foam insulation and perforated, powder coated, acoustical aluminum panels makes for a clean and durable installation.

Step behind the Center Control Station, and you will immediately recognize the OUT ISLAND is no ordinary express fisherman. All gauges and switches at the helm are within easy sight and reach with ample space provided in the console to accommodate electronics. The Solid Chrome over Brass Control Levers and Steering Wheel by œRelease Marine are standard equipment and thanks to the œSeastar hydraulic steering and single lever ˜Panish™ control system, everything works smooth as silk. Visibility could not be better either. Before you, a clear view is provided of what lies ahead and behind, an unobstructed view of one of the best-equipped and most generous Fishing Areas in any 38 foot boat.

Once fired up, this Beauty becomes a Beast. As you ease the throttles forward, acceleration is impressive to say the least. In an instant you are up on plane and leaving those less fortunate in your wake. Depending upon the twin diesel power package selected, the OUT ISLAND 38 EXPRESS tops out between 35 and 40 knots. Thanks to our hull design and the Carolina flare, words like SOFT and DRY can accurately be used to describe our ride, unlike our competition. After all, what good is speed if you can't use it? And with over 500 gallons of fuel capacity, there i™s not much chance of any of those turtles out-distancing this hare. (from the Out Island Web Site)
