Flush deck headboat built 1946 at Staten Island by Pederson Co, builder of tug boats. She is heavily framed, riveted 3/4 cedar on Oak and powered by a 1965 GM 671 recently rebuilt with 1738 hrs since rebuild. She consumes 2.6 gals of fuel per hour at a cruising speed of 10 knots. I bought her in 1964 operating it Summers as a C.G. licensed passenger vessel, 38 plus a crew of 2. I reduced her route from off shore to 3 mile upon the mandated requirement of enclosed life rafts. The vessel comes fully equipped with rods, reels and life preservers. My age is the reason for wanting to sell the " Yankee ". She is presently sailing out of Small Point harbor, Phippsburg, Maine. |

This vessel has been a tradition on the waters near Sequin Island, at the mouth of the Kennebec River, Phippsburg, Maine. Daily tours , mostly for those folks staying at the Hermit Island Camp Ground. The principle owner of the Camp ground skippered this boat up until a year ago. Time for a younger Captain to take the wheel, he says.
