| KETCH RIG - Custom galvanised aluminium masts, spars and 2 x spinnaker poles painted in ivory by Selden. (Spinnaker poles are neatly fitted to forward edge of main mast; they have never been used). 51 mast steps to main (16.6m deck to top) and mizzen (12.5m deck to top). Ss standing rigging (new in 2011). Swageless SSB radio insulators to fixed backstays of main mast. All lines lead to cockpit through clutches making shorthand sailing easy. Although there is a lot of sail area, the main, mizzen, yankee and staysails are of manageable proportions. The Harken Battcar system is great making shortening and lowering the mainsail very straight forward. | 6 BERTHS IN 2 CABINS - 1 double and 4 single berths 6'+ headroom. COMPANIONWAY, with 3 x varnished teak washboards, leads via a removable 4-stepped ladder, to a spacious & airy deck saloon. There are 3 x large windows to port, starboard forward & one to aft. SALOON: To port the dining table seats 6 comfortably. The custom designed solid teak dining table has 2 x drop out leaves which double the size of the table. The base of the table incorporates a large drinks cabinet with bottle & glass holders. There is storage beneath the saloon seating. To starboard & forward in the deck saloon is the inside helm position with navigation instruments, radar & chart plotter, Mastervolt battery monitoring system for all 4 x batteries, & a Whitlock Sovereign engine throttle control. Aft of this position & facing aft is the chart table which houses the VHF DSC fixed radio, SSB radio, NASA Clipper Navtex & red chart light. Behind the console is the control unit for the INMARSAT satellite phone. Between these two positions is a helmsman navigators seat on adjustable ss swivel. Engine & generator control panels are positioned between helm position & chart table. The saloon has 4 x gold plated 24v halogen lights & 3 x 24v halogen spotlights. There are red night lights in the saloon & galley. PILOT BERTH: to the immediate starboard & aft of the companionway. Lee cloths & storage lockers under. QUARTER BERTH: to port & aft of the saloon. Large single quarter berth with lee cloth, storage under, opening port & brass reading light. Between these 2 berths is a large hangingwet locker with Eberspacher outlet & 2 x other large lockers. 2 steps, with storage under, forward down from the saloon leads to the GALLEY: Force 10 ss cooker with 4-burners & oven with grill. Opening Lewmar hatch with blackout & flyscreen. Custom-built teak storage receptacles at eye level behind cooker. Teak mug rack for 6. Teak spice rack. 2 x 24v halogen spotlights. 2 x AC power points. Full set of Denby crockery. CABINS: Opposite the galley and to port there is a separate cabin with bunk beds, lee cloths, storage under, brass reading lights & opening portlight with curtains to upper bunk. At the forward end is a 3-shelved bookcase with locker under. At the aft end are 2 x lockers & a single bookshelf. Dorade ventilation to this cabin. Forward of this cabin, still to port is the HEADS: with Jabsco sea toilet (discharging to sea or holding tank by means of a 'Y' valve). Ss sink with H&C pressurised water, ample storage lockers, mirror, opening Lewmar hatch, portlight with curtains. Separate shower area with teak seat, Dorade ventilation to shower, shower drain pump. Forward of the heads is a LARGE CABIN: with an 'A' shaped berth & infill with large storage space beneath. Large opening Lewmar hatch with blackout & fly screens. 2 x 24v halogen cabin lights & 2 x 24v brass reading lights. 2 x AC power points. 2 x lockers to port & 2 x lockers to starboard.
