Ranger boats were some of the first ever designed to specifically target a single species of fish – the largemouth bass. Since this is the most popular freshwater gamefish in the country, it made sense to delve into details like release wells, casting decks, rod lockers, and electric trolling motor systems which would assist the anglers targeting them. And Ranger made a name for itself doing so. Then this company went a step father, taking Ranger Boats into competitive bassing with performance that is literally eye-watering.
Pads, set-backs, notches, and other hull tweaks were designed in along with construction techniques like pultrusion, urethane core sandwiches, and digital switching, to ensure that these boats are tough enough to match up with their performance potential - which includes blistering speeds and hair-pin turning ability. Today, Ranger has expanded its line to include not just bass boats but also general fishing boats in both fresh and saltwater models, an aluminum series, and even some “Fish-N-Play” multi-purpose boats.
Stretching 18'4" in length and built on a broad, 90" beam, the 1862cc is loaded with interior room and standard features. Up front, the elevated deck includes a pair of storage boxes along with an aerated livewell and timer. The port side is equipped with rod holders and individual rod tubes for sticks up to 8'6". There's even more room for rods in the holders surrounding the center console. The helm, itself, benefits from the added strength and style of a custom fiberglass design as well as factory-rigged instrumentation and the smooth, responsive handling of No-Feedback steering.
Just in front of the console, an additional livewell is available beneath the padded seat and back. Another bonus of the MPV series is the standard camouflage paint along with our super-tough, Rawhide interior finish. The oversized rear deck includes cockpit seating and easy access to battery, fuel, and plumbing components. The all-new 1862cc. With a wide open interior, heavy-duty 6 gauge trolling motor wiring, lock track extruded gunnels, remote throttle control, wide choice of factory-rigged outboards and a custom Ranger Trail® trailer, here's a feature-rich outdoor design that loves to both hunt and fish!
