Ranger

Ranger boats were some of the first ever designed to specifically target a single species of fish – the largemouth bass. Since this is the most popular freshwater gamefish in the country, it made sense to delve into details like release wells, casting decks, rod lockers, and electric trolling motor systems which would assist the anglers targeting them. And Ranger made a name for itself doing so. Then this company went a step father, taking Ranger Boats into competitive bassing with performance that is literally eye-watering. Pads, set-backs, notches, and other hull tweaks were designed in along with construction techniques like pultrusion, urethane core sandwiches, and digital switching, to ensure that these boats are tough enough to match up with their performance potential - which includes blistering speeds and hair-pin turning ability. Today, Ranger has expanded its line to include not just bass boats but also general fishing boats in both fresh and saltwater models, an aluminum series, and even some “Fish-N-Play” multi-purpose boats.

Boat Description

Welcome to the accelerated standards of the 2200 Bay Ranger. Built for the most demanding redfish anglers, the 2200 is equally at home chasing speckled trout on family outings. Designed with a smaller console and center-mounted trolling motor batteries, the balanced interior delivers an abundance of storage and plenty of additional space for working fish bow to stern. The highly maneuverable hull design also includes a raised bow for an impressively dry ride in rough water. Up front, an aerated well provides a convenient location for crabs and other bait. Cast net storage is positioned just aft of the console and a fold-down console rail allows the boat to easily access garages with lower ceilings and openings. Elsewhere, a raised anchor locker centers an elevated section of the front deck and rod storage is positioned throughout the layout.
