The Majestic 53 Catamaran KARIZMA KJ offers the total package for liveaboard and extended ocean passagemaking with interior accommodations and covered aft deck comparable to 60' cats. She is a development of a Van de Stadt design which was highly regarded for its stability, performance, comfort and ocean friendly hulls. The enhanced adaptation is CE certified attractive, spacious and versatile.

KARIZMA KJ much fuller hulls (as compared to narrow, deeper cats) are shaped to reduce the bow movement and flatten the seas, minimizing their contact with the bridge deck. The hull design also provides reduced draft, and ability to carry more without affecting excellent performance.

KARIZMA KJ has exceptional cockpit and deck space and interior volume comparable to cats 10' longer; quality construction, well finished 5 stateroom interior arrangement with large bridge deck, with galley, salon and navigation center; impressive master suite with king berth and adjoining study plus four guest cabins, and all with en suite heads.

The couple who sailed her from the South African builder, Royal Cape Catamarans, praised her build quality and excellent sea kindly performance and stability. When she arrived in the Caribbean the couple participated in the 2010 Mount Gay Cup in Grenada, WI and were first to finish, without extra crew and ahead of larger cats. They appreciated the luxurious appointments, light airy interior with superior storage and excellent workmanship and how easy she was to sail with only two. The fully covered cockpit with a custom fiberglass bimini, and aft deck with two transom swim platforms and dive platform is another standout feature that can only be fully appreciated during an inspection. Current replacement cost is $1,000,000.

Closing Remarks

KARIZMA KJ is a quality designed and built 53' Royal Cape Catamarans Majestic commissioned in 2009 in South Africa  After commissioning she was sailed by a couple to the Caribbean and then to Miami for the February 2011 Strictly Sail show.  The innovative design has fuller hulls that provide excellent performance and less movement in heavy seas (almost eliminating most bridge slamming in high winds).  Additional benefits are an amazing five stateroom interior and a cockpit comparable to most 60'+ catamarans.  KARIZMA KJ is a must see for anyone considering a liveaboard quality offshore catamaran 50' -  60' that can be sailed by two, with luxury accommodations for up to 12.

KARIZMA KJ is fully commissioned and equipped to take her next owners safely wherever they decide to sail.  The liveaboard, 5 stateroom accommodations are similar to larger cats and the cockpit is very special for cruising and entertaining.
