The Shearwater ViS was designed for a specific application.

We were asked by Wally yachts to put forward some ideas for a light weight diesel tender which would fit into a confined space with a maximum height of 1.3 meters, single point lift and weigh as near 1000kg as we could make it. It was to achieve 30kn +, pull a large adult skier, carry up to seven people keeping them dry and be able to fuel from the mother ship. We put forward some designs one of which was chosen. We worked with Wally to make the tender colours and materials complement each other.

The tender was a great success turning heads in every port and exceeding all boundaries.
