DEJA VU is the popular Stevens 47', center cockpit, cutter rigged sailboat designed by Sparkman & Stephens and sturdily built by Queen Long Marine for World Cruising. She has had three owners and cruised extensively in the Caribbean. Three staterooms, ample common space, two heads/showers and navigation station. The second owner had her refit at Bennett Brothers Yachts in North Carolina. DEJA VU has a custom interior with the classic 'Herreshoff' look-white bulkheads with teak trim. The overall effect is a brighter and more airy interior. The present owners, world class sailors, have continued to make improvements; new upholstery, Force 10 3 burner stove and oven, flat panel monitor/TV at nav station, Pactor modem, etc. They recently added a Schaefer boom furler system w/an Andersen electric winch. She is easily sailed by a couple and provides safe and secure passage making. |

Starting from the bow is an anchor chain locker with access from the forward stateroom. This stateroom has a double V-berth, drawer storage, cedar-lined hanging locker and ash planked ceiling. Next aft, to port, is a guest cabin with drawer storage and over/under bunks and opposite, to stb, is a head with shower. The main salon is immediately aft of the guest accomodations and head compartment. To stb, in the salon is a settee with custom cabinet storage and bookshelves built in behind the settee. Opposite is an L-shaped settee with a custom over leaf opening table with several drawers built -in. Behind the settee are custom cabinets with built in shelves. The settees seats are deep and comfortable. Aft of the salon, to port, is the galley with refrigerator, freezer, microwave, stove and custom drawers, shelves outboard and double sinks on centerline and opposite, to stb, is the forward facing chart table and navigation station. Outboard of the nav station is the 12v and 110v breaker panel. The Owner's stateroom is aft with a queen sized berth offset to port. Entry to this stateroom is either through the galley or nav station. Either person sleeping in the berth can get in or out without climbing over the other. It provides an excellent sea berth on a starboard tack. This stateroom also has 2 seating areas, including an upholstered settee and as well as a seat below the berth which can also be used as a "step down" to the cabin sole. A cedar lined hanging locker, drawers, deep bin storage and under berth storage. There is an ensuite, private head and shower for this stateroom. The interior of this vessel is very bright and airy, due to interior finish with white bulkheads and teak trim. DEJA VU, like other Stevens 47's, has a very low maintenance exterior with virtually no teak. In 1998 her hull and deck were completely repainted in white with gray non-skid deck. During the process all of the deck hardware was removed-stanchions, toe rail, pulpits, geonao tracks, etc- and it was all rebedded using Lifeseal. The toerail bolts were insulated with Tefgel to prevent electrolysis. Her aft starboard lazarette was enlarged from those found on her sisterships. A large opening access hatch was fitted as well for a man to fit through. An aft stern rail was made for the boat adding deck space and allowing mounting of various pieces of gear because it is tubing instead of SS wire. She has a custom toerail w/midship cleats. 12' West Marine dinghy (2003) 15HP Yamaha OB (2004) SS St, Croix swiveling Dinghy davits Outboard hoist Force 10 BBQ Galerider droque w/lines and chain (5) Large fenders Freshwater shower aft Avon 8-man life raft (needs re-inspection) (2) Bomar reversible hatches (4) Standard Bomar hatches Aluminum opening ports throughout Bimini top Dodger Cockpit table Cockpit seats with backs Full winter/summer boat cover Elkhide covered wheel Jensen cockpit speakers Automatic anchor light Masthead tricolor w/strobe |
