Owner comments (October 2015):

The B&G base system dates from 2000 and it was the top of the line Hercules racing package at the time--I believe the 2000 series. I installed a new mother board in the Hercules last October (2014). We installed a new speedo that also has temp sensor this spring, we pulled a new mast head cable and new b&g masthead fitting this spring. You may know that B&G has some electronics contained in the wind wand at masthead. I have a complete backup wind wand that does not have the electronics in it. All of the new installations have been tested. I have ordered but not yet received the chips/electronics that go into the masthead unit. The system now has 3 multifunction displays (two in the cockpit and one at the navigation station and 3 20/20s on the mast. All functioning. One of the multifunction displays was replaced this spring (2015) because of a cracked housing.
The boat is wired for communication from the B&Gs to a computer through rs232. There are two GPSs on the boat. One in the cockpit and the other at the nav station. Each of them has its own display and the output is wired to one to go into a computer to use a navigation program (such as Nobeltec) and the other to the B&Gs where it also can be outputted or used in a computer racing or other program such as Deckman or Expedition.

Additional Owner Comments

On the cruising speed it will do 6.5 to 6.8 all day at very economic fuel consumption (less than or equal to .75 gallon per hour) and will do 7.2 to 7.6 at a less economic rate of consumption.
The epoxy bottom is still there but now has VC17 over it.  Would be easy to remove if that is your preference.
