Boat Description

The largest of the Tayana line and queen of the fleet is the awesome Tayana 65. Without question, the Tayana 65 represents an unparalleled value in a yacht of this size and class. A generous beam of almost 18 feet and a waterline length of 52 feet together provide for accommodation space comparable to yachts in the 75- to 80-foot range. As with all Tayana yachts, owner input is encouraged to insure that any and all personal requirements are met. While the emphasis is always on value, Tayana Yachts continues to target the highest standards in quality materials and construction. Today's sailing technology combines with old world craftsmanship, making the Tayana 65 a yacht that deserves your most careful consideration. CONSTRUCTION Hand-laminated fiberglass, cored hull using Knytex knitted biaxial fabrics in conjunction with mat and woven rovings. Vinylester and isophthalic resins. Molded rub rail. A matrix of longitudinal and transverse foam-cored stringers in the lower hull providing maximum hull stiffness. Internal cast iron ballast glassed into a modified fin keel with choice of drafts. Skeg-mounted rudder, with internal stainless steel rudder post and integral stainless steel reinforcement. The deck is hand lay-up Knytex fiberglass construction using a 1-inch balsa core. All deck hardware areas are reinforced using encapsulated marine-grade plywood. Deck hardware is through-bolted using stainless steel backing plates.
