Boat Description

Innovations and exclusive details make True North one of the most talked about yachts afloat. Whether you prefer an Express or a Flybridge, this is your boat.

Her standard turbo-charged diesel delivers 21-knot cruising (25 knots WOT); a bowthruster with joystick makes in-port maneuverability a breeze. And an underwater exhaust lets whispered conversations be loud enough while helping purge fumes from the air around you.

The pilothouse profile is an exciting contemporary modification to an already stunning look. In the pilothouse, everyone from helmsman to small children has a great 360-degree view. The dinette’s tabletop lowers electrically for cocktails (and further to make up a double berth). The galley’s right there, so no one misses the party, day or night.

Aft, the cockpit can handle a crowd. With the modular transom seats moved to the sides, there’s room for a 10-foot tender or sailing dinghy (so much easier than towing or davits). And the transom opens wide with your choice of original reverse-transom doors or vertical-hinged doors.

Wide sidedecks let you move around safely and retrieve stand up paddle boards, canoes or kayaks from the pilothouse roof … unless you opt for the Flybridge model because you’d rather drive from on-high (there’s seating for 6 up there).

The interior layout highlights the forward master stateroom’s Queen-berth and provides access on three sides. And there’s an optional athwartships loft for children. The beautifully crafted enclosed head includes a shower area with seat, a clothes hamper and all the requisite fixtures.

There are many factory options available, allowing owners to create a boat that is tailored to their individual tastes and requirements.

We go boating to be outdoors
Our expansive cockpit you can welcome your friends out for an evening harbor cruise, stay aboard for the weekend, or take an extended cruise.

The seats are easily moved and versatile, allowing you to enjoy the cockpit with unlimited outdoor activities like stand up paddle boarding, kayaks, wind surfers and dinghies as well as their mountain bikes, fishing and snorkeling gear. We have even built cockpit mounts for an Owner’s Harley Davidson. We designed our new True North 38 to satisfy all members of the active family. With wide opening transom doors for easy access to the water, just inches below the cockpit sole you have your choice of vertical or classic clam shell doors. With a massive amount cockpit space, and wide deck seating, there’s room for everyone to enjoy the outdoors.

Best of all, the cockpit is designed to stow a 10-foot inflatable dinghy with an outboard motor. It’s easy to launch and retrieve – just pull it in and push it out right through those wide doors. During a cruise, some owners stow their bikes or other water toys inside the dinghy. This system eliminates the need for davits or expensive lifts.
An ignition alarm prevents the engine to be started when cockpit doors are open.

The fully equipped galley is located to starboard and is within easy reach of the crew in the cockpit. Casual seating in the pilothouse converts electrically to a large second berth. With pull out freezer drawers and a microwave convection oven, popcorn and hot chocolate underway is simple without having to go below.

The helm is sensibly organized and has room for a full array of modern electronics. The 360 degree view is excellent even when backing into a slip. All of our True North models run with a very low degree of bow rise so sighting Lobster pots or debris is effortless. The side window at the helm opens for ease of communicating with the admirers on the docks.

Down below, the décor is bright and cheerful featuring luxurious wood trim, Queen berth with access on three sides, and storage.

Hull Form
A sharp entry and pronounced bow flair contribute to a soft ride. The TN38 boasts a naturally low riding angle, also eliminating the need for trim tabs.
