Fractional Ownership

SOMERSET has been completely rebuilt from the ground up, the refit has included a new bottom, keel frames and floors, rebuilt engines, new generators and systems, an entirely new interior and new paint. SOMERSET literally is a brand new Trumpy after this restoration. The interior pays homage to the quality and style synonymous with the Trumpy name. SOMERSET membership is limited to 5 individuals, guaranteeing ample time on board for each member. 

Double planked with Sipo. Oak frames and floor timbers. Angelique structural keel, backbone and deadwood. Bronze fastenings. Deck is glassed over wood with varnished teak trim. 10' x 12' self-bailing  cockpit. Hydroslave steering. SOMERSET has a Greystone hull and blue boottop. She has been completely restored and updated by Yachting Solutions of Rockport, Maine.

Twin 1996 Cummins CTA 8.3L 400 hp diesel engines. 6 cylinder, closed cooling. Both engines have been rebuilt by Yachting Solutions as part of SOMERSET's restoration and have 0 hours. Cruising speed 16 knots at 2600 rpm. Twin disc 507 reduction gear with a ratio of 1.98:1. Micro-commander engine controls. Bronze propellers with 1 3/4" stainless steel shaft.

New aluminum fuel tanks with 590 gallon capacity, 270 gallon poly water tank and 25 gallon poly holding tank, both also new. State-of-the-art Headhunter Tidalwave Type 1 MSD whole boat waste treatment system rated for 10 occupants or 50 gallons a day. This system was specifically designed for SOMERSET.

The entire electrical system has been replaced and meets ABYC and NEC standards. The system was designed and installed by ABYC and NEC trained and certified technicians. 12 volt starting system. 12 volt Imtra LED lighting throughout. 24 volt house batteries consisting of eight lifeline AGM 6 volt batteries. Bilge pump and inverter circuits are 24 volt. Inverter is a Victron 5000 watt inverter/charger. There is also a Victron charger to maintain the generator and engine start batteries. Breaker panel is a new custom designed LED backlit panel by Heritage Panel Graphics of Seattle Washington featuring slideout/lockout source selection main breakers. The boat name is also inset and backlit on the panel. Cooking appliances, water heaters, clothes dryer and water maker are all 240 volt. 120 volt outlets, clothes washer and air conditioning. All outlets are GFCI rated. All switches and outlets are Vimar brand. 240 volt shore power with two 50 amp inlets on each side of the boat. One inlet for air conditioning and one for all other loads respectively.

Sleeps 6. The aft master cabin features a queen size center-line berth, the guest stateroom offers a full queen and the forward crew quarters sleep two additional in over under bunks. Two spacious, tiled aft heads (the master cabin head is ensuite), both with separate stall showers. Forward of the master and guest cabins is the completely new galley. The galley is equipped with a stainless sink, oven and Vitrofrio refrigeration system with Isotherm freezer. Built-in washer/dryer. New furnishings have been custom designed and made for the boat. The vessel is heated with a reverse cycle heating system and is air conditioned. SOMERSET's interior is finished with the original butternut paneling in the main salon as well as teak in the wheel house, aft deck and galley. Her sole is cork.

Twin engine room blowers, Fireboy fire suppression system, Johnson 24 volt bilge pumps, bell, Kahlenberg twin trumpet air horns, Arid Bilge bilge pump system, AquaMatic 1400 gallon per day water maker with remote panel, fully automatic, one button operation. Wesmar RS400 anti-roll Fin stabilizers.

Custom alarm panel designed by Heritage Panel Graphics located at the helm including integrated bilge pump switches.  Alarms include 4 zone high water, bilge pump “on” indicators, bilge pump hour meters, exhaust temp for main engines and generators, running light monitors, waste tank level and fire suppression discharge alarm.

Garmin navigation, Stabilized satellite TV, AV throughout.

Fractional ownership works much the same way as fractional jet ownership does. Simply put, the member pays for the portion of time they actually use the boat instead of bearing the entire original capital expense and annual maintenance and crewing budget. With Fractional Ownership, the cost and operating expense of a yacht is divided by the number of participating owners. Additionally, the superb resources and and service culture of Yachting Solutions ensures the members enjoy extraordinary experiences instead of ownership headaches.

Members can enjoy vessel usage in Maine in the summer and Florida and the Bahamas in the winter. SOMERSET will have these home-base docks included in the annual membership assessment. Additionally, East Coast repositioning opportunities in destinations such as the Chesapeake, Charleston, Newport and many others are the perfect getaway to locations members may not have had the opportunity to visit otherwise.
