Description

Owl  has undergone restoration including replacement of teak decks, house top, cockpit coaming, seats and hatches..All cushions were reupholstered (2005). A brand new Galley range and stove was installed (2005). A new stainless steel holding tank was installed (2005). Barrier coat applied to bottom (2005). Nickel and chrome was stripped and polished (2006). Stainless steel rub rail added and the topsides were refinished in Grey (2010).

CONSTRUCTION:

Hand-laid fiberglass hull with Divinicell core; fiberglass deck with teak overlay; self bailing cockpit with bridge deck and teak cockpit sole and seats; varnished mahogany trim, cabin house sides, coamings, etc.; and pedestal  wheel steering ,exterior lead ballast. Awlgrip grey hull , White boot top, white shear strip, red bottom, and natural teak deck and housetop.

ACCOMODATIONS:

 Sleeps 6 in 2 staterooms plus main salon, in 2 single and 2 double berths. Headroom: 6'4" aft/6'2" forward. Single enclosed head with porcelain washbasin, shower, and marine toilet. Hot and cold pressure water system. Galley has a new 2-burner gimbaled propane stove with oven (installed in 2005), stainless­ steel-lined icebox, and double stainless-steel sink. Interior finish is varnished mahogany with teak and holly cabin sole. Ventilation supplied by 3 hatches, 4 opening ports, and 1 cowl-type ventilator.

ENGINE

 Yanmar 3-cyl., 40-hp fresh -water-cooled diesel (installed 2002) with approx. 200 hrs as of December 2011. Equipped with full instrumentation, including fuel gauge. Engine is in new condition. Cruises 6.5 kn., 8+ kn. Max.

ELECTRICAL:

12V lighting and 12V starting system, engine-driven alternator, three 12V marine batteries, circuit-breaker distribution panel with master switch and battery-condition indicator.

SAILS AND RIGGING:

2002 Pope Sails fully battened mainsail and roller-furling jib. Hollow aluminum deck stepped mast by Selden (approx. 48' above waterline), stainless-steel standing rigging, swaged terminals, stainless turnbuckles (upgraded to W' turnbuckles in 2005), rope and wire halyards, Dacron sheets, Furlex  jib roller-furling system, spinnaker pole, boom  vang, Genoa tracks, snatch blocks, 2 Anderson 2-speed halyard winches, 1 Anderson single-speed halyard winch, 2 Lewmar no. 43 self-tailing Genoa winches.

ELECTRONICS AND NAVIGATION:

Standard Horizon VHF, Raytheon RIOX radar, Ray Marine ST4000 wheel  autopilot, Garmin  color chart-plotter GPS2006,, Ray Nav ST60 Tri-data wind/boat speed indicators with repeater at nav station, Jensen AM/FM CD player. Stainless steel Snorkel to accept all mast wiring into housetop (added in 2005).

EQUIPMENT:

35-lb. COR anchor on bow roller, 200' of nylon line with chain lead; 20-lb. Danforth anchor with 10' chain lead and 100' of nylon line; and Simpson Lawrence manual anchor windlass. Electric bilge pump, manual bilge pump, emergency tiller, horn flares, life preservers, safety harness, horseshoe ring, searchlight, docking lines, boathook, fenders, transom mounted boarding ladder, sail covers (2005), bow pulpit, stern rail, double lifelines, cockpit awning (bimini), dodger, fitted berth cushions (reupholstered cockpit, salon & berth cushions 2005), custom Vindo-logo china and glassware, and assorted flatware. Housetop hatches and companion way equipped with custom-made screens (2004-2005).
