| This is a very gently used one owner boat, and I bought this boat brand new in 2005. I'm a physician and my passion for offshore fishing was at its peak. I literally spared no expense with optioning this boat as well as rigging it. It has every single factory option available. The electronics and riggings are the highest quality components available. (see options below)
This boat was built with the expressed intent to make it a very hard core offshore fishing boat. Unfortunately shortly after purchasing it, a back injury and a surgery would keep me from using it as an offshore fishing boat. Although outfitted for serious offshore fishing, it has only seen the saltwater a FEW times in its life, and it really brought up the billfish! On the first fishing trip , I caught a sailfish out of Charleston, SC. On its second trip, I caught a blue marlin out of Georgetown, SC. The rest of its 6 year life it has been used gently as a freshwater pleasure cruiser here on Lake Murray in South Carolina. There is no rust or corrosion on this boat. This boat only has 400 hours on it due to the fact its mainly used to entertain friends and some lake fishing. My wife and I frequently take other couples out on this boat for weekend cruises. This boat is incredible for entertaining. The air conditioning is ice cold even on the hottest of the South Carolina summer days. I take meticulous care of this boat. The same person who details my cars also details this boat on a regular basis. It is immaculate. Everything on this boat works. I am very particular about things and I like them not only to work great, but also look great. Thats why I had a $7000 dollar complete bottom job on this boat 1 ½ years ago. It was a complete barrier coat, sealer, and antifouling paint job that included fully detailing the sides. The boat looked like brand new. So, I decided to replace EVERY decal on the boat and motors with BRAND NEW factory decals. Even the red, white, and blue Wellcraft 25th Anniversery decal that is only seen on the 2005 Coastal 290s was replaced. The letters GARMIN on the Radome was also replaced so that everything would look brand new. I also replaced all the cockpit bolster cushions and cup holders at that time because they had been weathered. The boat now looks completely brand new. The electronics on this boat are all integrated into a network. The 10.5 and 6.5 displays function as computer monitors and can display any information you want on them. (radar, sonar, GPS, chartplotter, XM weather overlay, etc..). This boat was built with redundancy in mind so that everything has a back up. If one display screen were to go out, all the information could be displayed on the other monitor screen, configuring the screen into 4 squares. The stereo also has Sirius/XM with the speakers being replaced a few years ago. Even though this boat has been on a lake for the past 6 years, I have kept all the outriggers, etc still attached and functioning. It gives this boat a very distinguished look and allows us to run different flags up the riggings. This boat is a head turner and the Fighting Lady Yellow painted side hulls gets constant compliments. The interior of this boat is immaculate and all interior amenities work perfectly. The pictures of this boat on the trailer were taken a little over a year ago after the complete bottom job rejuvenation. These were taken just before we put her back in the water. **Please note that the trailer is not available for sale, as it belongs to the boatyard. ** I had intended on keeping this boat long term and thats why I have maintained it to such a high level. I have every receipt for all the maintenance throughout the years. The motors work great and run smoothly and quietly. I am giving away many extras with this boat as well. The only reason I am selling this boat is because of health reasons. |
