CORKSCREW (Name Reserved)

CORKSCREW is a lightly used Down East lobster yacht built by West Bay Boats on a Richard Alley design and finished by Peter Buxton of Deer Isle.  She has excellent space and headroom for a vessel of this size, particularly in the wheelhouse, which has headroom of approximately 6' 6".  Well equipped and tastefully finished, CORKSCREW has always been stored inside and boat-yard maintained since new.  Any needed repairs or work has always been done promptly, and most recently, her bottom was stripped in 2010, barrier-coated, and repainted with InterLux Pacifica bottom paint.  In addition, her radar mast was re-Awlgripped in 2010, and a new Lewmar electric windlass installed.  We feel that CORKSCREW is a very good example of her type and that she can be well recommended.

Fiberglass hull, deck, house, and large self-bailing cockpit.  Light-gray hull with dark-green boottop, black bottom, and cream-colored decks.  The vessel is reported to be in "superb" condition, "like new."

2002 Cummins 330-hp 6-cyl. Turbo diesel, MG5075A est. 2:1 reduction gear, Kobelt hydraulic engine controls, engine-hour meter (approx.. 370 hr. as of August 2012).  Teignbridge 21-x-26 propeller on 2" stainless steel shaft.  Good filter access forward.  22 knots max; 5-6 gph @ 12-14 knots.

150 gal. fuel in fiberglass, 24-gal. MOE-4022H water tank, 25-gal. plastic MOE 41225 holding tank, 12-gal. water heater, potable water-filtration system.

12V lighting system with two 8D Glass Mat batteries, circuit-breaker panel, battery-condition indicator.  The vessel is grounded.

Sleeps 2 in a queen-size berth.  Single head, no shower.  The galley is equipped with a sink with pressure hot and cold water, 2-burner Seaward propane stove (2002), no oven.  Fiberglass icebox.  Cabin heated by hot air from engine.  Folding dining table.  Hanging locker.  Chart stowage built into engine box top.  Interior finish white paint and varnished cherry with fiberglass cabin sole.  Ventilation provided by 1 hatch/slide, 4 opening ports, and 2 ventilators (with screens).

25-lb. Delta and 20-lb. Danforth anchors, bow roller, 30' of chain, two 200' rodes, new Lewmar V700 electric Anchor windlass.

Bilge blower, gas-fume detector, two Johnson 1250 electric bilge pumps, 2 fire extinguishers, horn, flares, 6 Type I PFDs, LifeSling, searchlight, boathook, 4 fenders, running lights, EPIRB, Retrieveal System, boarding ladder, bow pulpit, drop curtains across aft end of wheelhouse and cockpit awning, fitted cockpit cushions, electric wipers, helmsman's seat, mate's seat, stainless steel forward bitts and chocks, solar vent, 2 rod holders, stainless steel housetop grab rails, 2 gull sweeps.
