Island Roamer was built for the owner of Westcoast Custom Yachts, who has been using the boat as a factory demo since she was launched in 2007. 

Currently we are offering a 1/2 share of the boat, which has an established 1/2 owner and has been committed to the Cooper Boating Charter Fleet.  There is a signigifcant revenue opportunity developing on the boat, which will spend it's summers operating from Cooper's Powell River base.  This is also a great opportunity to take advantage of the existing HST guidelines before they change in 2013. 

Launched in July 2007,  this vessel has a pair of Cummins 550 QSB series motors and costs about $1/mile at 12 knots according to Mr. Cooper, one of BC’s most successful boat builders, who has enjoyed this boat personally for the past few summers.  This Howard Apollonio design can also cruise at 14/15 knots and top speed is 20 knots, partially loaded.    The machinery warranties were activated in July 2009, so there is substantial warranty left on the machinery.   (This boat has been categorized as factory inventory and warranties were not activated until this date).   The genset now has just over 30 hours; the main engines just bover 200 hours.  A materials and workmanship warranty will also be provided by the factory*

 The boat is equipped with an Espar furnace and Furuno instrumentation.  She has a centre console 12.5’ Aquapro tender with a 20hp motor on a Steelhead marine crane to the aft flybridge.  She has a satellite tv system  with 4 tv’s aboard the salon and staterooms.   The salon features an icemaker, wine cooler and ship’s power is supplied by an inverter or the 11kw genset.   There is no exterior wood with the exception of teak cockpit sole – the rest is cloud white gelcoat and beautiful 316 series stainless by Irion Machineworks.

 She can carry 3,400 litres of fuel, 1500 litres of water and  has both  black and grey water tanks at 375l each.   She’s about 55,000 lbs displacement.
