Accommodations

"Aphrodite“ accommodations offer five en-suite luxurious staterooms for ten guests. The crew’s quarters consist of four staterooms, all with private en-suite heads with separate showers. The maximum number of crew is eight with four single and two double berths.

Vessel Walkthrough

Welcome aboard "Aphrodite"!Access to the main deck is thru the port or starboard forward entrance bulwark gates via a “state-of-the-art” light weight carbon fiber step ladder or via the recessed fully hydraulic Passerelle aft.

The exterior main deck and above “boat deck” are fully teak covered and offer complete “walk-around” capability on both levels as well as a unique terrace forward of the pilothouse with a built-in U-shaped settee and cocktail table.

One of the many features of this 40 Meter is the enormous covered full beam aft deck with seating for 12 to 18 guests. Fully equipped walk-behind wet bar to port with bar stools and large screen fold down flat screen TV; this area is perfect for cocktails and/or “al-fresco” dining.

Upon entering the main salon thru the automated stainless steel framed double glass doors, one immediately recognized the subtle and sophisticated design concepts selected by the owners.

The main salon features a formal dining area all the way forward for 10 guests. China, crystal and silverware storage buffets are outboard with custom stone tops. A raised panel mahogany low profile buffet, housing twin wine coolers separates the dining area from the formal salon.

There is a grouping of furniture, including sofas, ottomans, several occasional chairs and coffee tables. The extra-large windows all the way around makes for spectacular views!

Forward of the formal salon/dining area is the starboard side main entrance foyer, the galley to port and day head slightly forward.

The professional stainless steel fully equipped galley features a large walk-around island, a butler’s access door to the dining area and a portside deck entrance for the crew.

The most forward interior section of the main deck is the “owner’s suite” with a starboard side study with built-in desk aft of the master stateroom offering a king size berth at centerline forward; his and hers walk-ins and a gorgeous onyx finished head to port.

The additional four guest staterooms are located down below, at mid-ship, via an “open stairwell” to all three interior decks. The two VIP guest staterooms aft have king size berths and the forward staterooms offer a twin berth to port side and twin berth to starboard.

A separate air conditioned large locker off the lower foyer houses the complete A/V (Kaleidescape) for all areas of the yacht.

From the main entrance foyer up the open stairwell is the popular “skylounge”. Most guests describe this upper lounge as their favorite room while underway. The large windows, fireplace, “nap-worthy” sofas and lounge chairs combined with service bar with beautiful marble top as well as a small library and day head makes for a sought after experience looking at the scenery from this perspective in a totally climate controlled saloon above all the exterior surroundings.

Aft of the “skylounge” is the boat deck location via another set of stainless framed double glass automated doors. The toys, tender and wave runners

Electrical - Source & Power

GENERATOR

Description: There are two, 80KW electrical generators rated at 1800 rpm, providing AC power at 120-208volt/3phase/60 cycle Hz. The generators are located port/starboard in the engine room. Water temperature, oil pressure and hour meters are installed in the distribution panel. Both generators have remote start/stop in pilothouse. Power Take Off (PTO) and hydraulic pump are installed on both generators for full redundancy. Seamless Power Transfer is standard when switching to/from Generators to Shore power and when switching loads from one generator to the other generator.

Generators: Northern Lights, M1064 Series

Phase and power factor: Three phase-0.8 power factor.

Compound mounts

Sound shield

’In-Sep’ water separation/mufflers

Generators are cooled with raw sea water.

Oil capacity with filter – quarts: 14.3

SHORE POWER

Description: Shore power is provided through electrical conditioners that allow a large variety of power forms; single phase, three phase, combination, high voltage, or low frequency to be converted to ship power.

Shore Power Converters: Two (2), 37 KVA, 40-70 cycle. 170 to 520 VAC input. (A/Sea)

Shore Power Cords: (2) 100 amp, 3 wire with ground, 3 phase, Anixter

Shore Cord reels: Motorized shore power reels with local control at transom (Cable Master, Glendinning)

Adapters: (4) two for 240V to 480V and two for 208V to 480V).

TV and phone connections: located at starboard bustle

ELECTRICAL - AC DISTRIBUTION

Description: AC service is provided from two independent sources; Shore power and Generators. All sources of electrical power are routed through a main electrical switchboard located in the control room, then on to sub-panels located throughout the vessel. All circuits are protected by coordinated breakers. The main electrical system is 4 wire, 3 phase 208 volts with 120 volt single phase branch circuits where required. 50Hz outlets located throughout vessel are powered by a 10KVA converter. DC distribution is described below.

Wiring: Single and multiple conductors, ABS Type or Class Approved

Main switchboard: Extruded aluminum construction with powder coat finish. Unit is built to IP20 level of protection. Included is control and monitoring electronics.

Forced draft cooling

ELECTRICAL - DC DISTRIBUTION

Description: 24v DC power is provided by numerous accumulator batteries and charger/power supplies. Power is distributed around the vessel from the main switchboard located in the control room to locally operated sub-panels except dedicated emergency DC power which is distributed independently of the main distribution network throughout the vessel. The emergency lighting system consists of a dedicated light in all cabins as well as common areas and stairwells (interior/exterior) for egress in the event of an emergency.

Batteries:

All batteries Absorbed Gas Mat (AGM) type batteries

Two banks (total of 4 batteries) of 8-D, 225 amp hour batteries, wired in series—parallel for starting the main engines
