A nice example of the type of little clinker sailing dinghies and launches built by this yard in Cowes. Nice traditional work. Lots of fun and huge pride of ownership. The gunter rig is easily handled, the jib on a roller so everything managed from the tiller.

Devon Potter “Andante”
Built by Wooton Bridge Industries, Cowes in 2000. A pretty little centre-board sailing dinghy, recently built to a traditional design. Clinker-planked 3/8 inch Mahogany. Steam bent oak ribs, fastened with copper nails and rooves. Galvanised steel centre-plate operated by a tackle. Teak laid foredeck over a ply sub deck with wave break. Gun metal fittings. Centre thwart across the centre board box, aft thwart under the tiller and side seats between. Bouyancy bags under the side seats. The hull is finished in varnish inside and out with red anti-fouling.
Gunter rig on varnished Columbian pine mast and spars with tan terylene sails. Slab reefing main and roller reefing jib. Stainless rigging. Bowsprit fits cleverly over the stem post.
2 oars plus sculling oar. Outboard bracket. Galvanised anchor and chain. 3.5 hp Tohatsu outboard engine. Galvanised road trailer.
