Germán Frers’ most beautiful design ! "Exquisite finish and every detail is well thought out. This boat elicits your confidence …. makes you feel safe and secure. You may feel like sailing anywhere, anytime, in any weather."  (The Swedish Yachting Magazine På Kryss & Till Rors) This Hallberg Rassy 42F is solidly built, equipped for longer trips, very well maintained,   now shipshape and ready for new sailing adventures. Amongst many more she is equipped with: A 33 kg Rocna anchor with 60 m chain over a custom-made bow roller, the original CQR and a Brittany anchor. The Reckmann genoa furler, Furlex jib furler and Selden inmast-furler guarantee a safe, easy and comfortable setting and adjusting of sails from the cockpit. Besides the genoa, jib and main sail she comes with a gennaker, smaller genoa and a try-sail. All sails are in good condition. While under sail the D400 wind-generator together with the AquaGen water-generator provide sufficient energy to keep the domestic battery bank well uploaded. Saving the boat’s engine (76HP Volvo Penta with 2 generators) and diesel fuel, keeping these ready for its main purpose: propulsion by the 19” MaxProp propeller. To prevent any loss of instrument readings due to the failure of another one, each instrument is individually installed with its own display. For vital instruments a back-up is ready or a spare is on board. A Simrad AIS transceiver with own GPS and display, as well as a NASA AIS receiver with relative motion display, together with the Furuno 36 miles radar with watch keeper alarms provide a good help to prevent collisions at sea. For radio communications and weather fax reception the boat is fitted with ICOM M710 HF Marine transceiver with AT-130 automatic antenna tuner and a Vecom K41 navtex receiver. Also two fixed VHF's as well as a handheld are on board. A six persons RFD dinghy (surveyed 2014) in a bracket and an ACR Globalfix 406 GPS EPIRB are attached to her stern's railing. The Yamaha outboard is stowed ready on the stern for the Zodiac dinghy. The galley is equipped with a 3-burner stove with oven, a frigomatic coolbox and a separate frigomatic freezer with seawater cooled compressor. The sprayhood extension offers full protection. The awning shade reaches down from the cockpit to halfway amidships. The matching winter hood is intended for storage of the boat ashore.
