The BoatsCentral Web site ("Web site") is owned and operated by Trader Publishing Company ("Boats", "We", "us", "our"). This Web site offers services to (i) marine professionals such as vessel dealers and builders (and their employees) that have signed a service agreement ("Member"), and (ii) an individual boat seller who lists their boat on the website (Member) and (iii) a consumer or an individual who visits the Web site but is not a Member of the Web site ("Site Visitor").

The following privacy statement describes the practices of the Web site with respect to the collection, maintenance and disclosure of information received from Members.

Information Collected:
Boats is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. Boats collects information at several different points on this Web site as discussed below:

Dealer Registration: To take advantage of the services provided on BoatsCentral, a dealer must first register and sign a service contract. During the registration process the dealer will be required to provide Dealership information such as contact information and billing address. A dealer will also be asked to identify makes/brands carried and services and products offered at the dealership. Including information on boat makes/brands, services and products is optional, but dealers are encouraged to provide this type of information to ensure the dealership's inclusion in the Marine Directory search results.

Web logs: We collect non-personal information such as an IP address, the web address of the page viewed, the referring page address, and the browser information of Site Visitors in order to count page views on our site for traffic information purposes.

Cookies: We use cookies, which are small text files that are stored on the Site Visitors computer, to gather and keep track of information related to Site Visitors, to recognize Site Visitors when they visit our Web site, to personalize their experience and generally to serve Site Visitors better. For example a Site Visitors address or ZIP/Post code information entered through one of our forms, can tell us what region-specific advertising the Site Visitor should see on our site. Cookies also help us review site traffic patterns and improve the site.

Web Beacons: We set a web beacon (a single-pixel invisible image) on web pages and some of our HTML-formatted emails. We may use web beacons for a number of purposes, such as to count visitors to our web pages, to monitor how our Site Visitors navigate our site, or to count how many newsletters or emails we sent were actually opened. Additionally, third parties that serve ads or content on this Web site or within our emails may use web beacons. We do not have control over web beacons used by these third parties.

Email to BoatsCentral Staff: When Site Visitors send an email to a department or staff person, the email may or may not be saved for future reference, and may or may not be forwarded to third parties.

Disclosure of Personal Information Collected:

We may disclose the following information to affiliated third parties such as other web sites owned and operated by Boats Group. and to nonaffiliated third parties such as marketing companies, vessel brokers, vessel dealers and builders. The disclosed information may include data entered through one of our forms, through cookies, web beacons and web logs such as a Members name, address, company name, email address, other contact information, products and services offered, boat and engine inventory information, and information about the Members transactions and experiences with companies related to Boats.

We may employ third parties to perform functions on our behalf. Examples of these functions include, without limitation, sending emails or other communications on our behalf or providing promotional or marketing assistance. These third parties may have access to our Members personal information in order to provide these services to us or on our behalf.

We may disclose personal information about our Members when legally required to do so, at the request of governmental authorities, or to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing the Web site and applicable laws. We may also disclose Members personal information where we believe disclosure is necessary to limit our legal liability or to protect the safety or enforce the rights of our Members.

We may sell, transfer or otherwise disclose Members information in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, the sale of substantially all assets, or other fundamental corporate change.

Partners: Some of our partners offer services on the Web site. To provide services, our partners collect personal information from Site Visitors. We exercise great care in choosing our partners but we neither control nor are we responsible for our partners' information collection practices. Site Visitors should view our partner's privacy policy to make an informed decision whether to provide personal information.

Correcting/Updating Personal Information: If a Members personal information changes, or if a Member no longer desires our service, we have provided a way to correct, update or remove that Members personal data provided to us Members can edit or update their information at the My Account information page in BoatsCentral. Links to Other Web Sites: The Web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites that we link to. We encourage Site Visitors to be alert when they leave the Web site and to review the privacy statements of each and every Web site that they visit before disclosing personal information.

When Members choose to use services requiring sensitive information (such as a credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything reasonable in our power to protect user-information offline. All of our uers' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted to authorized users. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific task (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment.

Notification of Changes: It is the Members responsibility to follow our privacy link, so Site Members are always aware of our current practices. There will always be a link to our privacy statement on the BoatsCentral home page so that Members are always aware of our current information collection, maintenance and disclosure practices. Each update is noted with the last updated date. If our privacy practices change in way that would allow us to use non-public personal information in a manner not previously allowed by the terms of our privacy statement, Site Visitors will have an opportunity to choose whether to let us use their non-public personal information in the newly proposed manner.
