She truly is one of the last of her kind. Her 70 degree entry and moderate flare give the ability to take a head sea like none other. Although the hull flattens in the stern, a propellor pocket design by Vernese Custom Boatworks alters propellor efficiency by up to 96%. That translates to more speed, better fuel economy and improved maneuverability.
The 100% Vinylester / E-glass hull was started in 2000 and features oversized recessed trim tabs, a VCB pocket, a molded 8 exhaust port and full length spray rails. The 6 Bow Thruster allows better maneuverability than a twin engine and makes any captain look like a pro even in poor conditions. A custom built bow eye is securely anchored if towing became necessary. The boat was built to fish. A huge, uncluttered cockpit is every fishermans dream. Heavy duty stainless steel hardware is all that you will find on this machine including the custom built anchor guide. The engine room is clean and very accessible. Wires runs and hoses are combed and easy to follow as well as securely fastened. A twin turbine water / fuel separator allows a filter change at sea while still underway. The commercial rated 465 HP Yanmar Diesel Power Plant will never be overworked. Pleasure Ratings now exceed 580 HP for the same engine.
Turbo-charged and Intercooled, this exceptionally quiet and lightweight engine was a nice choice. Twin 1/4 Aluminum, Epoxy- Coated Saddle Tanks are connected by a 2 crossover. A multiport fuel selector valve simplifies tank selection or isolation. Single lever Koblet controls and a pressurized Hynautic steering system compliment her high quality equipment list. The boat is very near completion and is back in the hands of the original builders Brandon and Damon Vernese, now B.A.D. Marine in Fort Pierce, Florida. B.A.D. Marine has been contracted to finish and sell the boat. Offers will be excepted at any stage of completion.
The Engine has a full factory warranty that begins when the Boat goes into service. |
