Although at first glance the Sundance F17SCL seems more of a freshwater style, it makes a really great saltwater boat as well. Two people can sit side by side on removable cushioned swivel seats mounted with stainless steel mounting plates. The side console is set up for a top-mount binnacle control on the side armrest. The long rear deck has a 14-gallon aerated livewell with a high speed pick up on the left side. An 18-gallon fuel tank is located under the rear deck on the right. The instrument panel has a fuel gauge, voltmeter and a tachometer. A space is provided for a two-inch engine monitor gauge. This year Sundance has added a Marinco stainless steel power point in the face of the dash. A four-switch electrical panel, aerator pump and automatic bilge pump are standard. New for 2003, the panel circuits are protected with press-to-reset circuit breakers. Wire conduits are glassed into the floor to hull edge for ease in pulling wires forward for trolling motors and other electrical equipment. The steering wheel is a 15-inch stainless steel wheel. The custom molded Lexan windshield and stainless steel console hand-rail is standard. The standard XL Front Deck is fully glassed and integrated into the hull with a finish that matches the interior. The upgrade Yacht Finish Front Deck has a slick finished diamond non-skid surface. The standard front deck hatch has been increased in size on both Front Decks. The stern and bow light poles are stored in clips under the front deck.
