Description/Condition

The GibSea 414 Cruising Version  designed by Rob Humphries as a comfortable cruiser racer and built by Gibert Marine. This Rob Humphries design satisfies in terms of comfort and performance. This yacht was very highly specified when new. With white GRP superstructure and teak over laid decks. Lead fin keel, with wheel steering.

Accommodation

Sleeps eight in three double and two single berths in three cabins. Owners double cabin forward with en-suite wc shower and wash basin. Saloon with dinette which converts to double plus two single berths. Double cabin aft. Separate heads compartment aft with wc shower and wash basin. Galley fitted with  gas two burner hob with oven, double stainless steel sinks and 80 litre top loading fridge. Red and blue upholstery & teak joinery.



Spars & Sails

Sparcraft Aluminium keel stepped mast & boom, sloop rigged, stainless steel standing rigging, Terylene running rigging. Slab mainsail reefing with Lazyjacks, furling headsail (profurl)

Located under the companionway steps is a Yanmar 4JH2E 50hp 4 cylinder diesel engine last serviced March 2012, with indirect cooling, direct drive to a 3 bladed propeller, giving a cruising speed of 4 knots with a maximum speed of 8 knots, single lever morse control.



Electrical

4 x 12 volt batteries, 2 domestic, 1 engine, 1 windlass, charging from the engine alternator, also 240 volt battery charger. There is a 240 volt ring main throughout the boat, an immersion, and a smart battery charger.

1994 The Gib'Sea 414 voted "Le Bateau de L'annee 1995" at the Paris Boat Show. Awarded by the French magazine BATEAUX and selected by a group of European magazines. Only the second non-French designer to win.
