charter yacht SoranaAmid the rush of discount offers for yachts that still have open weeks this summer in the Western Mediterranean comes a new announcement for a motoryacht cruising in the Grenadines from July through October.

Blue Latitude Yachting tells me the 67-foot Princess motoryacht Sorana is offering a straight 20-percent discount with no restrictions on dates within that four-month period. The new weekly base rate is $20,000, which, for the maximum six guests, breaks down to a per-person base rate of just over $3,300.

That's a tough deal to beat for a motoryacht in the Southern Caribbean with two crew. It can be hard to find motoryachts of Sorana's quality (she's a 2007 build) in that part of the world at all, let alone at a 20-percent discount.

I was aboard Sorana about a year and a half ago, when she was part of a different company's charter fleet. The yacht made a good first impression on me in terms of maintenance and upkeep. Worth noting is that the captain at that time recommended an ideal-size charter party of four our five guests, versus the maximum six, in terms of onboard comfort and spaciousness.

As for the Grenadines, I was there just a short time ago for an upcoming magazine feature article. The region is still much as nature designed it, with the Tobago Cays in particular a must-visit destination if you are interested in pristine beaches, snorkeling with sea turtles, and a horizon full of stunning aquamarine water.

Any reputable charter broker can tell you more about Sorana or help you book a week aboard at the newly announced discount rate in the Grenadines.
