Another week begins, and another slew of discount offers arrives for charter yachts worldwide. Are you following the CharterWave feed on Twitter? This morning alone, I uploaded five notices before 9 a.m. of newly announced discounts in the Western Mediterranean, Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, and South Pacific.
The most time-sensitive new offer is from management company Ocean Independence, which tells me that if you book by this Friday, the owner of the 116-foot Horizon motoryacht Wheels is willing to drop the yacht's weekly base rate from €75,000 to €49,000 for July and August charters in the West Med.
That's a savings of €26,000, or about 35 percent, for a 10-guest motoryacht with zero-speed stabilizers based in the South of France at the height of the summer charter season.
I was aboard Wheels last month in Genoa, Italy, which is where I shot the above photograph of the yacht's main salon. As you can see, the yacht appears to be nicely maintained, especially given the fact that she is a 2002 build in charter since 2003. Most recently, I was told, the owner installed an iMerge entertainment system in the main salon, master suite, and sky lounge as part of an audiovisual system upgrade, and he installed a new filter system on the yacht's generators to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
Any reputable charter broker can help you book Wheels before this Friday to take advantage of the newly announced discount offer.
