My colleagues in Europe have been preparing for their biggest December boat show, and our staff correspondent Alastair Walton sent me this reminder of the presence planned for Boats.com's sister site, YachtWorld.com. Having attended the show in the past, I'm envious that I won't be able to participate in the spectacle this year. However, I'm planning a trip to Europe later in December, and intend to finish it after the New Year at the next incarnation of the Yacht Brokers Village—at the boat show in London in January.
Fresh from its' success at the recent Southampton and Barcelona Boat Shows, the Yacht Brokers Village rolls in to Paris in the first weekend in December. Featuring almost 3,000 boats for sale from professional yacht brokers all over France and the rest of Europe, the Yacht Brokers Village is an innovative and inviting stand that brings brokerage yachts to boat shows for the first time.
You'll find the Yacht Brokers Village in Hall 1, surrounded by some of the 700 boats that have made the arduous trip to this glamorous capital on one of the many convoys run under the cover of darkness every night for the past 2 weeks. If you have ever seen a 45-foot catamaran go down a Parisien street on the back of a lorry just inches away from traffic lights and café-goers, you'll know what I mean!
The Salon Nautique de Paris runs from 5th to 13th December between 1000 and 1900 each day.
