Palmer Johnson is undergoing a total re-fit

The total refits on this vessel not only consist, on the characteristic of HYDRAULIC, PLUMBING, HVAC, ELECTRICAL; but it extended to:

    • Extend the full beam main deck (aft of salon sliding doors) to the quarter deck break forward of the swim platform.
    • Fabricate stairs from the new construction aft deck to the swim platform.
    • Fabricate stairway from the new construction aft deck to the 01 deck.
    • A glass-backed pool is to be fabricated on the aft deck to similar overall dimensions as the existing oval pool.
    • Modify the aft superstructure fashion plate to update the profile design of the vessel.  
    • Extend the structure and plating of the 01 deck aft such that it extends approximately 10' further aft than current configuration. Subject to engineering calculations, support stanchions shall be used to maintain structural integrity under normal operating circumstances
    • The interior main deck / 01 deck stairway and 01 deck hatch will be removed and plated over.
    • Modify the flying bridge to provide structure and plating further forward and aft to provide more space for seating.

The existing mast and arch will be removed and replaced with a new arrangement that incorporates a hard top over the steering station.

    • STARBOARD MAIN - Detroit Diesel 12V149
      • The starboard main shall be disassembled for inspection of potential spun main bearing (CURRENTLY IN PROGRESS)
      • If a main crankshaft bearing has been spun, then the engine block to be removed from the vessel and bored for a new bearing
      • The engine block shall be returned to the vessel, reassembled and dock tested until such time that a seatrial date is selected
    • PORT MAIN ENGINE - Detroit Diesel 12V149
      • The port main engine shall receive an in-frame overhaul and dock tested until such time that a seatrial date is selected
      • The starboard generator engine shall be disconnected from the electrical end and removed from the vessel for cylinder boring and sleeving
      • The generator is to be returned to the vessel, reinstalled and connected to the electrical end and tested for proper operation
      • The port generator engine shall be disconnected from the electrical end and removed from the vessel for cylinder boring and sleeving

Sleeps 10 owners and guests in 5 staterooms. The master stateroom is amidships with head, shower, tub and king-sized bed. There are 4 guest staterooms including 3 guest heads and 3 guest showers. One additional guest head can be added as the master has two. Crew accommodations include 6 berths, 2 heads and 2 showers. The Captain’s quarters are separate. Great Charter boats with some updates, or perfect blank canvas to personalized her and make her your own.


Starting on the main weather deck is the full beam wheelhouse with pilot doors port and starboard leading to the yacht’s wide walk around, teak decks. The yacht is exceptionally well thought out for maneuvering from its pilot seats directly aft of the helm so that guests can be part of the navigating action to the set of international code flags built in to the starboard side of the helm. The yacht was designed with a back-up for everything and that is one of the key features that differentiates this vessel as a “world class” yacht. Stairs to the starboard lead down to the private crews quarters.

Proceeding aft one passes a complete on-deck bath to starboard. This is not only convenient for guests visiting for the day, but also enables the on-deck study-den to be used as a stateroom with its own complete bath with shower stall directly on deck.

Across from the day head on the port side is a dining room with tinted birdseye maple walls and Avordire Brazilian wood table with two leaves to seat up to ten guests. The breakfront contains holders and keepers for the Waterford Glassware, Royal Doulton china and sterling silverware. Dimmer controlled lighting and cove accent lighting.

Next aft is the master stateroom abutting a watertight bulkhead. King-sized bed to port and twin beds to starboard designed as a lounge/sitting area. Both the lounge area and the bedroom area have individual private baths with Jacuzzi tubs and walk-in closets. Each has its own entertainment center. Sliding lead filled pocket doors and heavy drapes for sound insulation allow the bedroom area to be divided from the lounge area converting this one full beam master into two staterooms with baths. Each room has 20 drawers and 12 lockers in addition to the walk-in closets. Starboard staterooms provide twin beds after removal of the bolsters. Two ceramic figurines are by Bjorn Windblade of Denmark. The bath is “Café Rosita” marble. The bath adjoining the king sized bedroom is “crema Valencia” marble. The king-sized bed is burled elm. The map of the Eastern Caribbean dates to the 17th century.

Next aft to port is a large walk-in sauna room. This room could be converted to another over and under stateroom should a new owner desire. This can be turned in to another state room with its own head, taking one of the two from the large Master

Next aft are identical twin bedded staterooms port and starboard. Both staterooms have a Jacuzzi and their ensuite baths. Portside stateroom has a Thai hand-woven carpet in a light flower motif and a French atmosphere. Dressing table is custom designed maple. Five foot wide hanging closet, 8 drawers and 6 lockers. “Crema Marfill” marble in the bath with Boehm porcelain birds as accent. Starboard side stateroom creates a Japanese atmosphere with black lacquer woodwork and pale rose dyed ash walls. Bathroom marble is “Bianco Vento Gioia.” Both guest staterooms have complete entertainment centers, lighting dimmer controls, telephone, fire extinguishers and life jackets. Aft of the guest staterooms is another watertight bulkhead.

The aft deck is 600 square feet and two levels. After exiting the main saloon one can relax on the upper level and watch the goings on. The lower level is designed for nothing but water sports fun. There are port and starboard Lee teak fighting chairs and a large oval Jacuzzi pool in the middle. There is an underwater viewing port and underwater lights for night viewing of sea life.

This deck makes for extremely easy access in and out of the water and allows for convenient boarding and disembarking from the yacht’s small boats. There is also a JennAire grill, cutting board, sink and freezer to starboard on the lower level for impromptu cookouts. The teak decks add to the warmth of this marvelous machine.

The yacht has two anchors stored in the stem of the vessel with (2) anchor windlasses on deck. The large foredeck are features a circular sun bed and abaft the sun bed is a semi-circular foredeck bench seat that makes this area great for sunning and conversation. All cushions are tastefully done in blue and are new in 9/95.

There is a separate wheelhouse panel for the KaMeWa waterjets. The panel includes startup for the hydraulic pump on the port and starboard side via toggle switches and separate toggle switches and light indicators for the port and starboard lube oil pumps.

The KaMeWa waterjets are model 7S62 (size, 71’s)
The vessel’s 5 watertight compartments are piped with two independent systems for manifolded dewatering should flooding occur. There are two Scot 7.5 hp pumps servicing the system. In addition, each compartment has a Rule model 3500 manual/automatic bilge pump which pumps directly overboard independent of the manifold system. For extreme emergency conditions, the main engine raw water intakes can be switched over to rapidly pump water out of the vessel.

Fire extinguishing system consists of 284 lb halon system in engine room with a second strike 284 lb halon system. There is a 9 lb. automatic-manual halon system in the wheelhouse.

The yacht has a complete sprinkler system which uses fresh water until it runs out and then an override switches the system to seawater. The combination fire/bilge pumps are 7.5 hp each.

There are two fire hose stations located on the main deck outboard walkways port and starboard driven by the bilge pumps. The yacht also carries two MSA Fire Mask Breathing Apparatus and fire fighting suits.

is built in the same fashion as a traditional ship with double bottomed, integral tanks. The tankage is approximately 12,000 gallons of fuel, 2200 gallons of fresh water in addition to two black water tanks (reconstructed 6/00) and one grey water tank.

The yacht is virtually vibration free as a result of the water jet propulsion system (a system in use in 135 foot Hong Kong ferries since the early 80’s).

Over 15,000 hours went into the engineering of “TIME” and a full scale model of the interior was lofted in a Chicago building.

The Tom Texas hull design underwent extensive computer generated testing at the University of Michigan. The tests bore out that a penetrating hull form is considerably more efficient and faster than a hard chined hull. It also confirmed that a round bilged boat doesn’t roll anymore than a hard chined boat because stability is governed by beam, draft and topside weight rather than the shape of the chines.
