The HOT PRODUCTS 2010 APBA Mark Hahn Memorial Havasu 300 was run yesterday  in Lake Havasu, Arizona, and the calm conditions resulted in a very fast — and brutal — pace for the teams involved. Multiple boats broke down over the course of the legendary 300-mile endurance race, but in the end some familiar names emerged victorious. Finishing time was around four hours, a blistering pace compared to last year’s 6-hour race.

The big winners of the weekend were big names — Craig Warner and Victor Sheldon captured first place aboard their Kawasaki Ultra 260X. Mike Follmer and Tony Beck captured second for Yamaha aboard an FZR, while Pat Roque and Lee Pham rounded things out in third aboard a Sea-Doo RXT-X.  (For those keeping track of the bragging rights, that’s a Kawasaki-Yamaha-Sea Doo top three.)

Nicolas Rius was reportedly on the fastest pace early on, before his ski failed due to rumored water in the gas tank after only three laps complete. Chris MacClugage’s Macc Racing effort also broke down.

I’ll post full results as soon as they’re available…
