Like most marine electronics, the Furuno TZ Touch system continues to evolve through the years. When we got our hands on a TZ Touch II at the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) convention this summer, we shot this quick video to show you some of the system's most impressive features. Take a look, and learn about the "side swipe" function.

Naturally, there's a whole lot more to this system—in a minute-long video, you can barely scratch the surface when it comes to advanced marine electronics like the TZ Touch II. But this look at the side swipe function is indicative of the system as a whole: it's intuitive, simple to learn, and extremely functional. To fully investigate the TZ Touch II and decide it it's the right marine electronics for your boat, you'll need to do some further research by visiting Furuno, and checking out the details. But before you click on the link, we'd like to leave you with one more tidbit: As we learned when we shot a Furuno First Look back at the 2013 Fort Lauderdale boat show, one thing this manufacturer delivers which many others fail to provide is good service. Year after year, Furuno wins the NMEA award for Customer Support.

Now, let me add my own two cents: of all the units I've operated through the years (which include multiple systems from all of the major manufacturers and a few that have since gone the way of the dinosaurs) the ones I've needed the least support for have been built by Furuno. Sure, good customer support is awesome. But what's even more awesome is that Furuno units tend to be built so solid that you probably won't ever need to take advantage of that support.

Yes, we love strong customer support. What we love even more is when the units are so rugged, they never need it.
