PWC owners can look forward to a pair of new owner-oriented events in Florida this Spring. WaterTop Unlimited, successful producer of past events as well as the popular Bimini Road Rally, has scheduled the Indian River PWC Easter Egg Hunt in Melbourne for March 28th, along with the Skyway PWC Poker Run in St.Petersburg on April 11th.
WaterTop President Tim McKercher says the time is right to bring PWC rallies back. “People have been pulling back on their fun for the past two years because of the economic slowdown but attitudes are changing and people are ready to have fun again”, says McKercher. “People want to go have fun on the water and after a record cold winter in the southeast, 2010 is the right time to bring back the owner/enthusiast events.”
“Personal watercraft are anything but personal, so people want to be a part of something with other people who share the same interests and passions as them and we will provide the medium.”
WaterTop will team with two local dealerships at the events, Route 1 Motorsports in Grant and Barney’s Motorcycle and Marine in St. Petersburg. The Indian River event promises to have PWC enthusiasts collecting special “Route 1 Motorsports” eggs, some filled with prizes, over a 35-mile ride to pre-selected points of interest. The Easter Bunny will be on hand to dispense safe boating tips, and pose with the kiddies. In St. Petersburg, riders will enjoy a 30-mile, five-stop run, as well as be able to visit the Tampa Bay Jet Boat Show at the Holiday Inn Sunspree-Marine Cove. New and used personal watercraft from Kawasaki, Sea-Doo, and Yamaha will be on display, along with jet boats from the latter two brands.
BRP will be on-site at both events with the company’s Sea-Doo iControl Test Ride Tour, which allows visitors to experience the latest Sea-Doo technologies, including Intelligent Brake and Reverse.
Entry to the events is approximately $30. Event and registration information is available on, www.watertopevents.com or at 321.409.0519 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
