The Pompano 21' is a traditional style lobster boat that is powered by a Yanmar diesel inboard. The semi-displacement hull shape has a reputation for maintaining good speed in rough water and providing a soft ride for all on board. The full length keel and skeg protects the prop and rudder during grounding and affords the owner peace of mind seldom found in power boats. There is standing headroom at the helm station and the aft deck is self-bailing. The forward cuddy cabin provides sleeping accommodations for two, a molded galley unit, and a porta-potti. Generous storage areas below the berths and a rope locker forward.
Solid fiberglass construction using premium Gel-coats and resins with state-of-the-art non-woven bi-axial fiberglass fabrics. Hardware is stainless and bronze. Much attention is given to detail and access to engine and running gear.
The safe, reliable, and economical diesel engine will provide the owner with many trouble free seasons of boating. With a total boat weight of 2400 lbs. and a 7' beam, the Pompano can be easily trailered, launched, and retrieved.
Top speed with the standard 54hp Yanmar diesel is 14-15 mph with a cruising speed of 12 mph. The base price of the Pompano 21' with the 54 hp Yanmar diesel is $58,910. Once you have compared this boat with other similar downeast lobster style boats, you will undoubtedly see why the Pompano 21' will be at the top of your list.
