In order to be called a true luxury performance offshore cruising catamaran, the width of the OE60’s hull has been carefully balanced for performance and splendid liveaboard comfort. Displacement, hull shape, and sail power are the key design features of an OE. The advanced hydrodynamic shape of the hull, designed by world renowned naval architect Germán Frers, utilizes the optimal length to beam ratio to minimize the wetted surface and deliver true performance. Instead of opting for fixed keels, a daggerboard configuration was chosen based on the advantages of providing lift, and lateral resistance versus drag. This design is also more efficient by providing outstanding upwind performance with the daggerboards down, and best performance with daggerboards up in a reaching or running sailing angle. Another advantage with the daggerboards up is that the draught is less than 80 cm, allowing you to sail and anchor in shallow waters unreachable to most. You can’t talk high-performance sailing without talking about construction. Each yacht utilizes superior design, advanced engineering, and only the finest composite materials critical for the optimum strength to weight ratio. In keeping with the highest traditions of Finnish yacht building, each Ocean Explorer is handcrafted by an expert team of generational craftspeople. Essential to any luxury yacht is the comfort, flow, utilization of space, and natural light of the interior design. With 360-degree vistas, superb ergonomics, and relaxing spaces, each interior is beautifully appointed, and custom finished to each owners’ personal tastes.

Her sleek and elegant lines, combined with the versatility of an ingenious layout, enable her to suit all cruising styles. The JEANNEAU YACHTS 60 has been designed to be tailored to satisfy all preferences and cruising lifestyles.  She allows numerous choices, such as an arch, a hardtop, an exterior galley, releasable forestay, furling mast, with which you would transform her from a sporty “Mediterranean” yacht to a fully-fledged offshore cruiser for longer voyages. The JEANNEAU YACHTS 60 can be split into four living areas, each offering multiple options: the forepeak, the forward cabins, the salon with the forward galley, and the aft cabins. The forepeak: three versions are possible, with a large sail locker, a skipper cabin, or a sixth cabin. Next, two versions of the forward area are possible: an owners’ cabin or two cabins, each with a double berth. The bulkhead that divides the two forward cabins can be slid forward into a dedicated storage space creating one open space. Then one berth can be transformed into a sofa, creating a suite on demand. Three possible layouts are available for the starboard side of the salon: a version with a sofa and adjacent chart table, a lateral twin bunk cabin, or an “open plan” version that could accommodate two free-standing armchairs. Finally, the aft living area can be configured as either an owner’s cabin or as two cabins, featuring one double berth on starboard, and a twin bunk to port. The JEANNEAU YACHTS 60 combines internal expertise of the JEANNEAU Design department, sharp design by Andrew Winch, and complete mastery of naval architecture by Philippe Briand. Deck plans and interior layouts are enhanced by high-performance technology and some of the finest materials. Our quest for unprecedented comfort onboard is paired with our desire to offer a yacht demonstrating “best in class” sailing abilities. The proportions are perfect, thanks to its maximized waterline versus overall length and carefully balanced distribution of living space.   The deck, with its contemporary style, gives this large yacht timeless appeal. The innovative deck layout features an inverted bow, a hull chine, an integrated bowsprit, a high sheer line, as well as walk-around sidedecks, making movement about the boat easy. The longitudinal garage accommodates a 10-foot tender that can be launched and retrieved effortlessly.

  10. Gulfstar Gulfstar 44 CC

    Gulfstar Gulfstar 44 CC

    Vero Beach, Florida
    1980
    $99,500

Muse is a beautifully outfitted 1980 Gulfstar 44CC ready for Bahama or Blue Water cruising. Muse has been was lovingly maintained by it’s former owner in the Annapolis area for over 20 years. We purchased her in fall of 2020 and outfitted her for Coastal, Bahama and Blue Water cruising with two adults and two kids. We have worked hard to continue the high level of attention to detail set as a precident by the prior owners. All systems have been tested and debugged on a 6 month island cruise in winter of 2021 (Annapolis to Georgetown to SE Florida) and again now for the winter in the Bahamas in 2022 with our family of four. She is turn key ready to continue providing joyful adventures as we move to our next phase as a family in the woods somewhere TBD. She is available for closing now in SE Florida (Vero Beach preferred) after our current Bahama cruise. Video under sail and online tour at www.museforsale.com Muse Story: Muse spent the over twenty years before we purchased her in 2020 providing weekend sailing for her former owner in the Chesapeake. Based in Annapolis her adventures were up and down the Bay and through the Eastern Shore. The level of care and attention to detail over those years is evident through out. She was sold as the prior owner sought a smaller boat that fit his life stage better. A melancholy feeling came as tears welled up in his eyes on the day we headed out from on the West River on our adventure. On her shake down voyage for us in October of 2020, we took her down the Chesapeake to Norfolk, through the ICW to Cape Fear, then from there in open water to Amelia Island in Florida. Moving from close coastal cruising in Maryland to the open water she performed beautifully and also revealed areas needing tweaking. December of 2020 we moved aboard, finished the final prep, and took her south along the Florida coast to Key Biscane, across to Bimini, and down through the Exhumas to Georgetown. The trip back brought us through the Eluthras and a month in the Abacos taking us finally to Vero Beach in May of 2021 which we came to love as a Florida destination. After the Holidays this year we re-boarded as a family (two kids11 and 13) and will be re-tracing some steps while exploring new adventures along the way. Our final destination for 2022 will be Vero Beach by early May at the latest. She has brought adventure, joy, challenge, heavy seas, light air, and a bit of motor sailing on the way south. She sails beautifully, handles any weather, looks beautiful and proud at any dock or anchorage, and is ready to continue to provide joy, spirit and inspiration to her next owners.
