Nordhavn 75 Expedition Yachtfisher2022Request Price
Nordhavn has taken what it does best, building long-range luxury expedition yachts, and incorporated all the fishing features and rigging found on tournament sportfishers to create a yacht that can truly go after any fish in the world. An enormous fishing cockpit, dual 60-gallon baitwells, a 35-cubic-foot deep freeze, plentiful gear and tackle storage and all the rod holders and rigging a deep-sea angler could ever want top a long list of fishing features. The N75 EYF is safer in rough weather when sea conditions force a slower running speed, which is always a major downside to the typical small rudders found on sportfishers (the N75 EYF’s standard stabilizers also promise a comfortable ride in rough seas). Additionally, the EYF’s 22 -foot four-inch beam permits a new Nordhavn standard feature: twin engines. A single screw is not an option. The N75 EYF sports Detroit Series 60 diesels and a cruising-speed fuel burn of 12 to 15 gallons per hour – a trickle compared to a typical sportfisher built for nothing but speed with noisy behemoth diesels guzzling 100 to 200 gallons or more per hour. Another heavy advantage over typical sportfishers is there is no weight penalty for all the equipment and furnishings that make life grand. Dive equipment, jet skis, granite countertops, you name it – the N75 EYF’s full displacement hull allows you to load up with everything you need for fishing adventures that last for months, not hours. Like all Nordhavn yachts, the N75 EYF is a truly semi-custom boat. The interior can be designed to match an owner’s tastes and lifestyle.More…32

Nordhavn 682022Request Price
The distinct styling of the 62 has been a Nordhavn hallmark for nearly twenty years, and the 68 captures the essence of this vessel yet it incorporates the latest thinking in design, systems and technology and packages it all into a beamier, heartier hull. The interior is stunning with modern styling and beautiful teak joiner work. And despite the size advantage, this vessel is just as easily managed by a cruising couple without need for captain and crew. Stepping onto the boat, the massive size of the 21-foot wide expanse can be immediately felt. The 68 carries its beam further aft and has a higher freeboard forward, thus providing more room on the inside. Offered in both an asymmetrical and dual walk-around layout, the huge saloon is an ideal gathering area for when the yacht plays host to larger groups. Meanwhile, cooking for the masses is a snap in the large gourmet galley with such features as granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Because the 68 is an aft pilothouse model, the foredeck is open so there are deck hatches for lots of light and ventilation. This is especially noticeable in the full-beam Master Suite and its luxurious head and shower forward. There are full size port lights positioned on either side which show off breathtaking views. Located just two steps down and forward from the saloon/ galley area, the bright and airy cabin offers its owners a pleasant haven for an afternoon nap or good night’s sleep. Like the larger luxurious vessels in the Nordhavn fleet - the 72, 75EYF, 76, 78 and 86 – the Nordhavn 68 is filled with the best equipment as standard including hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, ABT stabilizers, air conditioning, and Stidd helm chairs. “This boat is so featurepacked there is not a regular option sheet for it,” says Streech.More…31
Ideal for overnight cruising and day cruising these Motor Yacht vary in length from 21ft to 145ft and can carry 4 to 56 passengers. These powerboats use the following propulsion options: inboard engine or stern drive engine. There are a wide range of Motor Yacht for sale from popular brands like Sea Ray, Hatteras and Carver with 1,744 new and 8,306 used and an average price of $336,344 with boats ranging from as little as $11,739 and $12,181,253.
Cruising on a motor yacht makes one feel like a king, because motor yachts enjoy a level of luxury, size, and status that rank you above the common captain. But, when does a boat qualify as a true motor yacht? While the term ‘boat’ implies a small- to mid-size platform that’s simple to operate and relatively affordable, a motor yacht means more overall length (typically 40 to about 90 feet, beyond which the term megayacht applies), more opulence, and more expense. And unlike those smaller boats, motor yachts are designed to stay on the water for days, even weeks, at a time. They’re equipped with private cabins and heads, full galleys, and the systems required for extended stays onboard as well as serious navigation. Social spaces are emphasized, too, making motor yachts ideal platforms for entertaining while adventuring from one distant port to the next.
Motor Yachts like this 80 footer from Hatteras make an impression - a big impression.
Motor yacht is a broad term that encompasses a number of styles, including sedan bridge, flybridge, aft cabin cruiser, pilothouse, and large express-style yachts. For the most part, though, bridge boats make up the majority of motor yachts. They feature plenty of deck space for guests, roomy and private overnight accommodations for family and friends, a helm on the bridge and often an option for a helm in the cabin, so the vessel can be operated in all seasons and conditions. Large indoor salons are a key component in the mix, and are often highly styled to suit the entertaining needs of this particular market. A motor yacht will always have a very comfortable and upscale feel to it. On the low end in size and price, the typical model will offer two staterooms, and these cabins are generally akin to boutique hotel suites.
Some motor yacht owners will argue that a particular design’s worth is determined by the dimensions of its outdoor spaces; namely the flybridge and cockpit, which is often covered overhead for the comfort of passengers. On a sizable motor yacht, the bridge can seat at least eight. There are often lounges on the foredeck, too, which serves as yet another place to show off those exceptional hosting skills.
Even on relatively small model motor yachts, like this Carver 54, large bridgedecks with plenty of space for entertaining are a common trait.
Motor yachts may be powered by diesel or gasoline engines. Straight-shaft inboards are common, but pod drives continue to make their way onto more builds. Power and range varies, depending on what the specific motor yacht is built to do. Some would argue that a trawler qualifies as a motor yacht, but this long-distance cruiser will travel much greater distances on a tank of fuel than another type of design and often has a more traditional nautical look and feel, with less opulence.
Hull designs vary. Because the term motor yacht encompasses such a variety of styles and sizes, there are a number of running bottoms. Some motor yachts feature full-displacement hulls, which means they’re pushed through the seas and displace a certain amount of water as they move. These motor yachts are stable, with their weight acting as a counterbalance to the forces of the sea. They can run in inclement weather and can make for a comfortable ride, particularly when features such as stabilizers are added. Other motor yachts have planing hulls that operate on top of the water’s surface to eliminate resistance and generate faster speeds. And then there are the semi-displacement motor yachts, which combine the attributes of a displacement hull with those of a planing bottom. The result: good speed plus stability and reasonable fuel burn.
Most modern builds are made with fiberglass, while some are constructed with aluminum, steel and carbon fiber. Motor yachts are often production builds, but there are semi-custom and custom designs, as well.
In the long run, a modern motor yacht is designed to go the distance in deep water. This luxury cruiser is most suitable for families and for large groups, because it’s spacious, stable, and designed for pure hedonistic comfort.
