Additional Information
Performance and Machinery
Power is provided by twin 12-cylinder 600 hp Deutz diesel engines, coupled to 2 x Reintjes gearboxes. The port engine has 5,237 hours and the starboard has 5,375 hours (since a 2007 rebuild, as of 16.09.2022). This setup allows for a maximum speed of 12.0 knots and a cruising speed of 10.0 knots, with a highly respectable range of 3,500 nautical miles while consuming 100 L/HR. Electrical power is supplied by a Kohler 100Kva (2009) generator and an Iveco 75Kva generator. The yacht is equipped with Naiad hydraulic fins for underway stabilization. Key tank capacities include 38,000 litres of fuel, 21,000 litres of fresh water, and 750 litres each for grey and black water.
Accommodation and Domestic Systems
The yacht is configured to comfortably accommodate 10 guests across five staterooms, supported by quarters for a crew of 9. Headroom is consistently generous at 195 cm throughout the staterooms, main deck, and skylounge. The galley and pantry were completely refitted in 2016 with high-quality Hotpoint and Bosch appliances, including two fan ovens, a microwave convection oven, a dishwasher, and a range of refrigeration/freezing units. The laundry area features two LG washing machines and two Bosch Series 4 driers. The yacht maintains comfort via a Compact Clima air conditioning unit in each area and utilizes two Cathelco 200 l/hr water makers. Entertainment amenities include speakers throughout the main saloon, aft deck, and upper deck, along with a Sony Bravia TV and Apple TV in the master stateroom.
Navigation, Safety, and Deck Equipment
The wheelhouse is fitted with comprehensive navigation and communication systems, including Furuno and Raymarine GPS units, a Furuno Satellite Compass, a Simrad AP50 autopilot, and a Raymarine ST60+ wind display. Communication gear includes a Radio Ocean RO4800 VHF, Simrad GMDSS handheld radios, and Furuno Mini-C Inmarsat. Deck equipment includes two anchors with 2 x 140m of chain and a 1.5-tonne crane (new in 2016). For safety, the yacht is equipped with an ARC Fire Alarm Control System, handheld fire extinguishers, an FM200 system in the Engine Room, and CCTV monitoring. The tender garage houses a Novurania EQ 540 tender (10-man capacity), a 3.5m Walker Bay tender with a 25hp outboard, and a Yamaha jetski.
Significant Refit Work (2012–2019)
A major refit was undertaken in Southampton, UK, between 2012 and 2016, which involved a full hull ultrasound, extensive steel plate and frame repairs, installation of new black and grey water tanks and pipework, and a complete hull and superstructure repaint. All interior woodwork was stripped and varnished, and the crew quarters, galley, and laundry were rebuilt. Mechanical updates included the installation of new water makers, new engine room extraction systems, and generator exhaust systems, alongside servicing of main engines and generators. Subsequent winter works included replacing main engine heads (2016–2017), replacing the injector pump and servicing the Iveco generator (2017–2018), and installing new main engine exhaust insulation and rebuilding fire lines (2018–2019).
