Description
ANATINA project Arthur Robb New Zealand designer with a career developed in London and considered one of the best of his time, the boat was finished by Robert Clark is a 54' Classic Ketch in Iroko and Teak with steel frames. Produced in 1970 by the Solent Universal Shipyard l.t.d of Southampton, it is a limited series vessel. Due to its characteristics, it fits into the category of Vintage Boats suitable for Cruises and Regattas. The boat has been used for private cruises and has had 3 previous owners. This Ketch has made long ocean cruises over the years reaching America, Iceland, Cape Horn, and even Alaska: it was definitely designed for long crossings.
Internal description:
seven berths divided into two cabins, one double and another single with a convertible dinette, a large bathroom in addition to the sailor's with an entrance from the bow. C-shaped kitchen with double oven, burners in front of the chart table, and a spacious dinette with sofas and berths in the bulkheads, the interiors are made of fine teak wood and include a Webasto for year-round use and a black water tank.
External description:
steering with maneuvering cockpit for both the mizzen and main mast, with controls led back to the coachroof. Fractional foresails with self-tacking jib and choice of roller furling genoa, or jibs and staysails on halyards. The sail set in good condition includes storm jib, carbonera, and two spinnakers. Also participating in the vintage boat circuit with notable results but suitable for long navigations like the southern oceans. A true sailing boat with a total refitting of the hull in iroko with treatments that make even ordinary maintenance similar to modern fiberglass boats and the teak deck in excellent condition. The engine replaced with only 200 hours, with renewal of the transmission and variable pitch propeller calibrated for adjustments depending on sea conditions, we add the generator and the renewed Mastervolt system to increase comfort.
