A 15kW electric motor is the equivalent of a 50hp diesel engine on our 40-43ft yachts.

The DALE 28 was conceived to meet the needs of both new as well as long standing DALE clients who wanted to downsize whilst retaining the sea keeping and quality to which they were accustomed. A large socialising space in the wheelhouse and cockpit area as well as a cabin for two plus occasional berths for a further two were top of their list. Putting everything that is special about a DALE into 28 feet was a challenge that we just couldn’t resist. After achieving the hull design to give the sea-keeping and ease of handling expected of a DALE, our next aim was to use the architecture to create a boat with spacious accommodation for two, the comfort of full standing headroom, a large wheelhouse and cockpit for total enjoyment of cruising, living on board and socialising. We build each boat bespoke for you and just like any other DALE, there is a sense of discreet luxury and attention to detail. Fitted with a powerful fractional rig, the Arcona 345 sports a tapered, twin spreader, keel-stepped mast and is prepped for spinnaker equipment. For strength and stability, the bulb keel is made of antimony hardened lead. The transom is open with an integral bathing platform. The large storage locker aft is accessible from two recessed hatches in the cockpit floor. Additional storage can be found in the aft end of the cockpit bench and a cockpit table is stowed in the starboard side locker. The cockpit coaming, aft deck and sole are in teak. The side deck can be specified either in teak or in Arcona’s iconic non-slip material.
