Salona Yachts is a Croatian company that opened its doors in 2002 to build composite sailboats. The performance cruisers range from 33 to 67 feet and are designed by the Slovenian firm J&J Design. The company puts much emphasis on the stainless-steel grid below the cabin sole, which is bonded into the hull to distribute the loads from the mast step, chainplates, and keel. Interiors are made of lightweight contemporary materials and the entry-level price is one of the company’s appeals. Salonas have performed well on the racecourse but current models are also positioned as comfortable family cruisers with amenities suited to weekend or coastal excursions.
