The DALE 28 was conceived to meet the needs of both new as well as long standing DALE clients who wanted to downsize whilst retaining the sea keeping and quality to which they were accustomed. The Arcona 415 can also be upgraded to an Oceanvolt Servoprop 15kW electric propulsion system, with variable pitch propeller technology and comes with a 23.2kWh* battery pack. A 15kW electric motor is the equivalent of a 50hp diesel engine on our 40-43ft yachts.

Ideal for sailing by two or for racing with crew, the 34ft/10.4m Arcona 345 is set to be a new favourite performance cruiser on the racecourse and indeed for cruising with family and friends. Her predecessor, the Arcona 340, successfully captured the hearts of many owners and was nominated in the category Performance Cruiser for the European Yacht of the Year 2010. We’ve taken inspiration from the design of the Arcona 435, European Yacht of the Year Performance Cruiser winner in 2019, and the evolution of the flagship Arcona 465 to make the Arcona 345 modern inside and out. The Arcona 345 has a slightly larger sail area than the Arcona 340 to give optimised upwind performance. There is the option to have twin wheels configured which can be upgraded to carbon. With a tiller as standard, she is very responsive. The layout provides a forward cabin with plenty of room and a good-sized clothes locker each side of the dressing area, with more stowage beneath and over the berths. The saloon has an L-shaped galley, with lots of stowage, a gimballed twin burner gas cooker with oven and a generously-sized sink and fridge; a smoothly rounded backwards-facing chart table with ample space for electronic equipment; a twin leaf saloon table, a U-shaped seating area to port and long straight settee starboard capable of seating six in comfort to dine, as well as providing two excellent sea berths on the move. The heads are spacious with separate shower facilities which is a rare and great feature for a 34-foot yacht; a deep sink, wet locker, and easy internal access to the cockpit locker through a sliding door. One aft cabin features a very large double berth, two portholes that can be opened, plenty of lockers and shelves, plus stowage under the berth. The Arcona 345 mirrors the quality and style of the rest of the Arcona fleet. With a choice between the rich Khaya Mahogany interior or the beautiful Light Oak interior, the owners’ choice of fabrics, white headlining, and plenty of ports and hatches provide light, good ventilation and unrivalled comfort. Like all Arcona models, the Arcona 345 is built with the latest materials and advanced techniques. Our Swedish heritage shows in the beautiful lines and clean functional design. The hull and deck employ vacuum infusion technology with a sandwich construction featuring multi axial rovings and Vinylester resin. The core material is 20mm Divinycell. All bulkheads are bonded to the hull and deck for added strength. Fitted with a powerful fractional rig, the Arcona 345 sports a tapered, twin spreader, keel-stepped mast and is prepped for spinnaker equipment. For strength and stability, the bulb keel is made of antimony hardened lead. The transom is open with an integral bathing platform. The large storage locker aft is accessible from two recessed hatches in the cockpit floor. Additional storage can be found in the aft end of the cockpit bench and a cockpit table is stowed in the starboard side locker. The cockpit coaming, aft deck and sole are in teak. The side deck can be specified either in teak or in Arcona’s iconic non-slip material. Developing the concept for a new project is, above all, a journey. It is an experience where the only limit is your imagination, on a quest for sensations, for materials, geometries and forms – to express the essence of a style that must be utterly unique, in every aspect. We have not settled for dreaming up an ingenious concept with state-of-the-art technical solutions, increasingly inspired interiors, and living spaces of unprecedented comfort. We pushed ahead, even further, in space and time. Until we were absolutely certain that we had found the new essence of Ferretti Yachts, the quintessence of wellbeing and style.

In the Contest 49CS, our first twin aft-cabin yacht at this length, we have developed something new, different and yet reassuringly consistent with Contest credentials. A natural step up from the Contest 42CS, and equal new step into the Contest range for sailors preferring their master suite forward and family or guest cabins in the back.And what cabins these are, they’re huge for the 50ft (15.5m) sector. Yet still there’s a very impressive tender garage, spacious aft deck, and loads of storage throughout the cabins which enjoy the latest design-styling from the Wetzels Brown studio. It’s with naval architects judel/vrolijk & co’s balancing of modern topside height and max beam carried well aft, that this conventionally impossible scale of twin aft cabin arrangement with standing headroom throughout has been achieved. And with super performance, too, through the full spectrum of heavy and light weather. Dependable in handling and easy to control, sailing nine knots to windward at 30° apparent. And as with all Contest yachts, remarkably quiet below decks under sail and motor.

Mike’s vision to build a new classic styled model started to become more than just an idea back in early April 2020 when discussions and sketches between Mike and Arthur ( Nelson designer) soon resulted in drawings flying back and for in earnest. Those early days in lockdown provided a window of space and an uninterrupted time to reflect on what Mike really wanted to achieve from this latest design. Mike had already received unprecedented interest in both our Classic 35 and Classic 45 and there was an appetite out in the market for a beautifully built boat with classic styling but of a more manageable size than our iconic 45 and more accommodation than our 35. In reality, the 37 provides the 45 accommodation and wheelhouse, in a smaller boat, with the same acclaimed underwater semi displacement hull shape used on our DALE 40. All in all, a lot of boat with classic styling and pedigree for cruising with confidence, reassurance and security.
