Big discount news just announced today by management company Ocean Independence: The 120-foot Broward motoryacht Sovereign is offering seven- and 10-day discounts for charters between July 1 and 15 in New England.
Sovereign's weekly base rate is regularly $70,000. That is now the base rate for a 10-day charter during the first two weeks of July, while the base rate for a 10-day charter on those dates has dropped by $11,500 to $58,500.
I happened to do a charter in New England aboard Sovereign in the summer of 2004, so this article offers a pretty good idea about what you can enjoy in the area aboard this particular yacht. The captain and crew have changed since my charter, but the yacht continues to take 12 guests, which is unusual for any motoryacht in this size and price range, especially during a holiday week.
And, of course, New England has not changed: It is still bursting with early American historic sites in locations from Boston to Plymouth to Salem. July Fourth fireworks celebrations are plentiful, and spending America's Independence Day in this part of the country lends any charter a great sense of history. It's truly a unique charter experience, one of my personal favorites among the many I have enjoyed over the years.
Any reputable charter broker can help you book Sovereign at the newly reduced rate during early July in New England.
