Good news for boat show ticket buyers this month in marine industry! Informa Markets, who operates the Miami Yacht Show and Superyacht Miami, has partnered with the NMMA to merge the Miami International Boat Show with The Miami Yacht Show and thus create one of the largest boat shows in the world. The first joint event will take place on President's Day weekend, February 16-20, 2022. This is a departure from previous years when visitors had to purchase two separate tickets from two separate event organizers, even thought the shows occurred at the same time in close proximity to each other. So this really is a natural merging of two important marine industry events that should benefit visitors and exhibitors alike.

The new show will take place at the newly renovated Miami Beach Convention Center and Pride Park, as well as the Genting location (where all the in-water components of the show will be hosted).

Andrew Doole, President of Informa Markets US Boat Shows said, "We are honored to be able to take this next step to further commitment to you, to the larger marine community, and to the community of South Florida, and hope you join us in our excitement about the potential this platform provides."

"The spirit and culture of the Yacht shows will remain intact, while simultaneously ensuring broader reach for our community and additional educational and experiential opportunities targeted at Yachting enthusiasts. In the coming weeks, we will be reaching out to provide an update on the 2021 show, and further details about the experience you can expect at the joint 2022 event."

NMMA president Frank Hugelmeyer thanked the City of Miami for providing the home of of the Miami International Boat Show at Miami Marine Stadium and Park for the past 5 years, and noted that this merger will shift the show over to Downtown Miami as well as Miami Beach. He commented further, "For 80 years, the Miami International Boat Show has served as the recreational boating industry’s flagship event and a prized platform to showcase world-class products and innovations to nearly 100,000 people across the globe. With NMMA’s new partnership with Informa Markets, together, we will take the show to the next level and deliver an unforgettable experience for our members, attendees, exhibitors, and the local community for decades to come."
