After close to 15 years in our family, we’re reluctantly ready for this classic 22’ CDory Angler to find a new home. This boat has hosted many a family fishing trip, shrimping expedition, weekend excursions to parks around the Puget Sound and the Columbia River, and even trips up to the San Juans. In 2018, we completely upgraded the engines, steering and electronics. You can monitor the 90 hp Honda’s performance from the screen of the Garmin Echomap SV, not to mention chart your course, look for fish and monitor your depth. Connect the steering bar and you can steer the 8 hp Honda kicker from the comfort of the helm. In 2017, our dear CDory became our second boat (after falling in love with a larger hand built tug) so both engines (bought new in 2018) have seen relatively little usage. While there’s no hour clock on board, we’d be surprised if we came close to putting 75 hours on the main 90 hp engine, even fewer hours on the kicker. We’ve traveled from Tacoma to the San Juans in this boat and stayed warm in the winter months with the Wabasto gas heater. The berth comfortably sleeps two and has a chemical toilet. The Standard Horizon Eclipse radio with a collapsible antenna lets you communicate to shore and with nearby boats. The rear cockpit has ample room to set up recliners and a table so as to enjoy an evening dinner on the water. Conversely, the open space also allows for several people to comfortably fish and/or set crab or shrimp pots. The bow includes a recently installed Anchor Caddie Pro making anchoring in strong current all the easier. In 2019, we installed a custom bimini top to provide much needed shade during the Eastern WA summers. We also had a new coat of bottom paint professionally applied in Spring, 2019. Trailering the CDory is easy and allows you to explore waters across the region. The single axel trailer includes the spare tire.
So what’s unique classic boat? Only cosmetic issues; the veneer on the door, table and some of the surfaces in the helm have seen better days. The door is a bit finicky in term of staying closed. The heater can take a try or two to kick into gear, but it ultimately does warm the boat.
This boat has brought our family quite a few great memories. If you’re ready for it to become part of your family’s history, give us a call or shoot us an email.
