The 2016 Absolute Navetta 58, a fast trawler from Italy, breaks the semi-displacement speed rules. This boat seeks to combine a sport boat with a long-distance displacement cruiser, and representatives speculate that the boat’s top end will be around 25 knots with a cruising speed around 20 knots. Meanwhile, her hull has been optimized for maximum interior volume, with a plumb bow and a broad beam that doesn’t let up all the way aft. Volvo Penta IPS pod drives sit far aft in the hull, also adding to the space available for accommodations. The master suite amidships is full beam with a king-sized bed on the centerline and a settee to starboard. There’s not much an owner will be missing for extended cruising, and now those far-flung destinations can be reached even faster. Take a look for yourself, and we’re sure you’ll agree.
