Fairline Boats PLC is introducing its Phantom 50, the largest and most luxurious long-range flybridge cruiser in the Phantom line, at the Southampton Boat Show in England. According to press material, the new motoryacht was designed for long-range cruising and features three cabins with multiple berths. Interior highlights include full standing headroom, large bunks in the spacious cabins. Luxurious common areas include a saloon, dinette and galley. (A washer/dry and refrigerator/freezer are optional.)

What follows are highlights of other key areas in the Phantom 50
Flybridge and Helm

Aft cockpit and Bathing Platform

has a 250-kg lifting capacity and can also double as a diving platform.
Foredeck
The generous fore-deck sun-bathing area is accessed from the cockpit via wide side decks that feature high stainless-steel handrails to allow easy movement around the boat, a key point for non-boating guests and crew.
Saloon
A large C-shaped settee transfers into a double berth as required and dining table and luxury fittings allow for entertaining in style and comfort, with provision for TV/VCR and stereo radio/CD player.
The centrally positioned inner helm station features independent seating for skipper and co-pilot. Night-time navigation is facilitated by red lights at the helm and there is a drop-down chart table for traditional route plotting.
Galley
Just one step down from the saloon is the well-appointed galley featuring quality Avonite work surfaces and teak flooring. Features include an electric stove, microwave/grill combination oven, refrigerator/freezer, twin sinks and plenty of high- and low -level stowage. To assist the chef?s stability when underway, waist high stainless steel handrails are available.

A king-sized bed spaciously accommodates the owner in the master stateroom, which has private en-suite facilities, full height wardrobes and ample stowage. Guests are accommodated in the double berth principal cabin, which offers access to day ensuite facilities and a portside twin cabin.
The Phantom 50 reportedly has been added to the Phantom to meet consumer demand for a larger model. The Phantom 46, Phantom 43 and Phantom 38 comprise the balance of the Phantom offerings.
Following its launch at Southampton Boat Show, the Fairline Phantom 50 will be previewed at major European Shows including Genoa, Italy in October and Barcelona, Spain in November 2001.
