Leica Marine's apMK12 navigation system features a control and display unit that is designed to work with Leica's MX 421 or MX 421B smart antenna. When connected to the MX 421, the system provides accuracy to within three meters. Used with the MX 421B DGPS antenna, it automatically applies differential corrections from beacon transmitters to achieve consistent accuracy of less than one meter.

Clear and bright in direct sunlight, the screen of the apMK12 features large graphics and text. At a glance, viewer's can see their vessel's current position, bearing and distance to the next waypoint, course and speed over ground and cross track error. The plotter screen displays a 2D or 3D view of courses steered and planned route.

The system also is programmable with tidal predictions for reference stations worldwide, sun and moon almanacs and details on all GPS satellites and DGPS beacon transmitters. Users can select display in nine different languages.
