The Kelly Peterson 46 (KP46) is a bluewater cruiser featuring the comfort of two cabins and two heads. This vessel is known for its speed and performance, in all variety of winds. Cutter-rigged for easy handling with furling head sails. They track well and are responsive to turning due to their forefoot design and cutaway keel forward of the skeg hung rudder. It is a vessel that is easily handled by a couple, but accommodation-wise has room for friends or family.

Built at Queen Long Marine, a highly regarding yard known for its quality and craftsmanship (the same yard that builds Hylas Yachts). This Kelly/Peterson 46 is hull # 7 of the 30 Kelly/Peterson 46's that are said to have been built.

The sellers have owned and cruised this vessel for the past ten years and have caringly updated many of the systems, with an attention to detail. Notable features that make this Kelly Peterson 46 particularly desirable include:

--The Yanmar Turbo Diesel 4JH4-TE Marine engine was installed in 2015 and has 1550 hours. Engine access to port and starboard is excellent.

--Full Raymarine navigation electronics suite (2015) with autopilot and autopilot remote. The chartplotter can wirelessly communicate with handheld devices (phones / tables) to provide handheld navigation data.

--The Iverson Dodger & Cockpit enclosure is a work of art and provides the option of comfortable year-round cruising in any weather (new 2018).

--200 watts of solar and an Espar diesel heater for comfortable cruising and anchoring

--Fresh coat of Alexseal topside paint in 2022. The bronze portlights were refurbished and re-bedded in conjunction with this project.

--Doyle stackpack mainsail (2015) and roller furling (Harken) foresails.

--Transom davit with RIB tender

When this boat was in production in the 1980's the manufacturer reported that "the KP46 is the culmination of years of experience with cruising and yacht design. This is why the Kelly/Peterson 46 is so well built and equipped that it requires only a sextant and a destination."
