Eleanor Rigby is a Vagabond 42, a traditional cutter ketch designed by naval architect, George Stadell III. She has a classic clipper bow and a heart shaped transom. This well equipped cruiser is also a very comfortable liveaboard boat with excellent storage for extended bluewater passages.
The extremely stout hull has a modified full keel with a well protected skeg rudder, features that provide excellent maneuverability and speed. Ample freeboard, high bulwarks and a spacious center cockpit keep this yacht comfortable, dry and functional.
She has a beautiful elegant satin teak interior. The roomy main salon and functional navigation area rounds out this intricate design. 15 opening ports and 4 aluminum hatches provide bright open atmosphere with more than enough ventilation. There are 3 private double sleeping cabins, 2 heads, fore and aft, exceptional hanging lockers and multitudes of drawer space. The plush stateroom aft offers a queen size berth, mirrored dressing area, hanging lockers and drawers. The nicely appointed galley provides a well ventilated, well lighted, efficient work space, safe in all kinds of sea conditions.
In addition, she has an exceptionally well maintained engine room with a custom fuel polishing system, energy saving LED interior lighting, a Mack Pack mainsail enclosure, spinnaker sail, and new bottom paint (2019). Easy to maintain with NO teak decks.
The unique Vagabond 42’s, with less than 100 ever built, share the classic charms of pirate ship inspired detailing from their clipper, trailboarded bows to square windowed sterns. An exuberant use of teak makes these vessels stout under sail and elegant down below. Draft is 5’6" so is excellent to sail the Bahamas.
In balmy South Florida we are a step away from cruising tropical islands in clear, turquoise waters. This Vagabond 42 is ready to take you on your next adventure near and far.
