29' J Boats J-29 '85 "Ono"
This J-29 represents the best of both worlds as she has a mast head rig, removeable Harken roller furling for cruising/racing, a large aftermarket 18 hp inboard diesel, a custom re-balanced rudder, faired keel and all self-tailing winches.
All this adds up to an excellent family inshore/offshore racer or an easy daysailor/singlehander.
She is well-maintained and race ready.
Anchor locker all the way forward followed by a V-berth with portable head to port and line locker to starboard. Mast is keel-stepped just forward of the bulkhead.
Main cabin features port and starboard settee/berths with moveable back rests to adjust berths for both safety and comfort. There is a fold down chart table above the starboard settee.
Next aft to starboard is a custom bookshelf, radio and VHF and a galley sink with storage below and outboard. Next aft is a comfortable quarter berth.
Likewise to port, aft of the settee is a storage cabinet and book shelf followed by another comfortable quarter berth. The after market inboard diesel is nicely mounted below the companionway steps.
The cabin sole is teak and holly throughout.
