Freshwater boat: Lake Michigan. The 445's hull form is optimized to provide gentle, predictable motion underway, which is so appreciated in other Catalina models. The deck is strikingly handsome with a low profile cabin structure, twin helm stations and a roomy cockpit with tall, secure comfortable coamings and a cockpit table that seats 6. The deck is finished with a traditional diamond-patterned non-skid. The owner's cabin is forward for privacy and optimum ventilation, and includes storage under the bed, in a hanging locker, within louver-enclosed shelves, and beneath the cabin sole. Private head access from the forward cabin along with electric head and separate shower complete the forward cabin arrangement. A guest cabin is aft to starboard with a large comfortable double berth, angled for easy access and greater headroom, and also features an enclosed hanging locker and shelves, as well as generous storage amidships. A second head is accessible both from the starboard guest cabin directly and from the main cabin. A third innovative cabin aft to port features a flexible space easily converted to your cruising style at the time - workshop with a bench, sleeping bunks for three children or two adults, or a storage space directly accessible either from the cockpit via a large seat hatch or from the galley. The galley, to port, has the storage and features needed for extended cruising, while the navigation station can serve as home office at sea. For longer voyages, additional generous storage space is found beneath and behind cabin seating, beneath stern cockpit seating, and from compartments accessible from both the aft deck and the foredeck. Aft deck freshwater shower and dive tank stowage. Two separate A/C units.
3-burner stove, oven (LP); refrigerator, freezer (12V); microwave (120 V); 2-basin sink. Space for espresso machine / coffee maker (not included, but highly recommended for cool mornings!)
